A little look at what I’ve still got going on.
2 plants fill the tent. Not sure how I had space for a 3rd. Seems ok.
This bud decided to give me a hand by hanging itself upside down all by itself.
What else…
The MMHs are way overdry. I was so focused on humidity in the tent I neglected to check the humidity in the drying space. It was very low and the whole plant was crispy.
Now that I’ve got my proper drying gear set up it’s maintaining 60% so I’m going to see if I can rehydrate these crispy buds.
I think it should work. If it doesn’t…more hash.
Also, tried a quick dry sample of EDH and it’s lovely. Citrusy and funky and sweet. Not so much pepper like I got early on but it’s delicious. And it smells so…different. Bright. Not super racy or “sativa highy” but very nice. I look forward to an extended cure.
The plants still standing are starting to get a little ugly but I’m just riding out the clock here and I think it’ll be ok. Worst case I lose a couple of bigger top buds. Not good, but not the end of the world.

Wait for it…
So I always use a frisbee for shucking because it’s on hand, convenient, and I only ever seed a branch or two. Works great for small batches - big ones maybe not.
So I got some PPP pollen from the immortal @DougDawson and went to town. I hit two different phenos of the Maui Mango Haze and two different phenos of the Everyday Haze.
Since I was bored I clipped off a branch of the squat MMH and set it up.
So I shredded all the plant material:
And the end result is….
Wait for it again…
Nothing. Not one seed. Not a single one.
A few thoughts -
Pretty sure the pollen was viable because I saw the pistils shrivel on the EDH. I took a picture.
They may also have shriveled on the MMH but I don’t specifically remember. That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
This was a very small branch and I still need to check the other MMH but for now I’m calling it a fail.
I was going to call this cross Denver Hayes (get it? PPP Colorado x Haze). Also I enjoy copyright infringement. Get it? Good joke eh? No? Moving on.
Oh well can’t win ‘em all. I hope there are some seeds in my EDHs but if not I’m not going to cry about it. Well, maybe a little. Don’t judge me. I will save them in a shot glass and drink them later.
