So. The Maui Mango Hazes have been fully processed.
2L of nice smoke and a gallon of slightly leafy buds for the hash pile.
Interestingly, I threw these in a very dry corner and didn’t pay attention and ended up with this:
Very very dry.
So I threw them into my drying chamber which is set at 60% and gave them a day to rehydrate. This is the result.
We will see if it affects cure but right now it feels and smells like it should for just dried buds.
I think I will start another more detailed thread about this because I thought it was a neat experiment that might be helpful to those having drying challenges. Could save a lot of time too

I decided awhile back that I was going to use the squat pheno for hash and the stretch pheno for smoke so the stretch got trimmed better than the other.
I filled 2L of jars with the stretch and there was some left over so I just threw it in the same bag as the squat.
I didn’t weigh anything this time because I’m too busy and I can’t be bothered and it’s leafy so wouldn’t be a fair representation anyway.
I’d guess a QP from both plants, maybe.
Assuming I can get ice at the gas station this is what’s on my agenda today.

I plan to switch it up a bit this time. My first pull I’m going to go all the way down to 25 for quantity and then on subsequent pulls I will collect at 45 for smaller amounts of higher quality.
Only 2 things can stop me
1 lack of ice
2 laziness

For hash it’s a reflex I guess. I like to know what my returns are for academic reasons.

There are so many variables there’s probably no point but this way I get to go “my yield is better than your yield.”

Also note that my ice comes directly from a glacier…I bet yours just comes from the tap.

You really sprung for the good stuff. Surely glacier ice will last longer! Do you re use the water for each wash? I did not, and thought it wouldnt hurt next round to try and recycle at least some. Guess whatever passes through the smallest bag will still pass through when rinsing.

I do use the same water for each wash. I just add more ice by eye as needed.
