There was a time when a beer tour of Germany would have got me very excited but I don’t drink anymore and mostly am interested in the tourism and fried meats.
I’m also still trying to figure out if you were drawing a weird penis or something… I mean it could be better.
Shoulda gone to art school.
better go by car…the trains are not realy reliable/not on time nowadays
Good to know.
We’re still in the preliminary planning stage which means all things are possible.
I would very much like to go to Berlin but we’re going to be based mostly in the south so it might be easier to switch it to Zurich instead.
But Mrs Foreigner insists on going to Nuremberg for a couple of different reasons.
zürich is great too,if you have the chance to visit
Nürnberg is worldknown for their Lebkuchen and the right place to get some goood beers.
Personally,i don´t like Berlin much…it´s fckn huge,loud & dirty
but if you wanna go out for all-night-long-party ,you´re deff in the right place
Right now we’re considering staying at the hotel where Michael Jackson dangled his baby out the window near the brandenburg gate.
Not likely to happen but a funny thought.
Is this for the Eurail trains? My wife and I are going to France, Switzerland, Germany, and Netherlands for our honeymoon in a couple weeks and got the eurail pass to get from country to country and had to reserve seats on a couple trains. Just trying to plan for how much delays we should expect on those days.
When I see Nürnberg, Nürnbergring is the first thing that comes to my mind.
I’m sure the Lebkuche is good, too!
The BMW museum is on the menu too but I can’t remember which city it’s in.
Lebkuchen and proprietary sausages.
Congrats and best of luck on the trip. Sounds fun.
Thanks Foreigner! We are looking forward to it for sure, will be my first time getting to go to Europe
no,just the german trains ,afaik
the swiss trains more in time than the german ones, dunno bout the other countries
Happy Honeymoon ![]()
…the BMW Museum is in Munich, not that far from Nürnberg…both Bavaria
Is there anything to do in the Black Forest? It’s right by Stuttgart so it’d be an easy stop.
