Fortman's Fiasco's, Bumbles and works in Progress

Just a quick update, up potted all my seedlings. 6 were planted into a local living soil manufacturer and 2 were planted into peat/perilite mix and will be feeding them canna nutrients for they’re entire cycle. Just water for the living soil ph’d to 6.4 and the peat with following canna’s recommended feed amount sat me right @ 6.4 ph but after I fed them I tested the EC and was sitting @ 2.9 so I will be feeding them tonight and cutting the nutrients to 50% as that’s crazy high and am seeing some burning on the leaves already. I potted them 2 days ago but just looked into the tent so how things were and saw that. (When I first fed them I said to myself let it ride to see where these plants are at and what they can handle. All the seedlings were root bound heavily in the solo cups so I loosened up the root ball a bit and planted into they’re next home.

All plants including the canna feeders already as showing growth so this is a positive sign. Pictures will come later tonight after feeding time. Thanks for taking sometime out of your day to spend with little Old Fortman420

Just a fast update. Everything is responding well to the up potting  I just watered the 6 living soil with ph water of 6.2 and a bit of yucca powder for a wetting agent. All have a few root poking out the bottoms of there new 1 gallon homes and some are also showing improved top growth especially the (K4 x SSDD) x Puck bcs3, plant #1. It’s responding very well to the topping I did a while back. AND, it’s a girl!!! Actually, both my k4 from @Kyumonryu are female so double win for me!! The rest aren’t showing they’re sex any further but all growing.

I had planted 1 Spencer’s Gift @Scarlyle and 1 Shellcatcher @hoss8455 in a peat/perilite mix and will be feeding only canna nutrients for the entire life to see the performance difference. I fed nutrients a ph of 6.7 and an EC of 2.4. When I last reported I thought they were responding negatively but I would have to recant that previous statement and say they are responding the strongest of the lot. Out of all the plants they’re medium was closest to being dry which is to be expected when compared to an organic soil.

Check out the simple quick pic’s

Any training suggestions are from an experienced eye is welcome as well.

Appreciate you swinging by and checking out my little grow

Looking great man. How much longer are you going to veg them? I top all of my plants but I guess it would depend on how much time they have before they start flowering. Either way they look healthy nice work.

I’m not sure honestly, if I let them go too long they’ll easily outgrow the tent there in so it will have to be the next few weeks at the latest. I’ll take some cutting off each 1 just in case there’s something special. I’ll also be flipping my 3x3 in the next week just doing 1 more trim in it to level the canopy then flip. I let the 3x3 get a bit to bis so will have to get pretty aggressive on the cutting. @methodanon Appreciate the question as I honestly didn’t even think about it much as I usually let the plants get 3-4 months before I flip.

Just a picture update today. Thinks are starting to change and grow. Seems the seedlings are really appreciating there new shoes!!

I have found the canna nutes I need to reduce the strength of feed as its just to strong so ill reduce it by 50% to get its EC/PPM within range so avoid any further burn and potential lock out.

@Scarlyle out of the 3 Spencer’s Gift growing 2 are heading towards a taller growth structure bu lt the 3rd is staying shorter so leaning toward the Afghani Chemo lineage pheno (fingers crossed)

A quick update. I had added an extra 100w led board to my 3x3 and I thought I had the timer dialed in but unfortunately I did not and the extra lighting ended up causing my Sowah Apple mom and bubbleponics to herm so they both were axed.

I’ve looked over my BagSeed bitch and she’s just trucking along without any nuts hanging around. I’ll have to keep watching her and see what happens in the day and weeks to come.

Now with the extra space BB has been moved into the 4x2 and I’ve had to bend her every which way to fit her in the tent. 6-1/2’ tall plants are a pain in the ass. I’m going to make it a personal mission to get smaller plants to manage better.

I went on a heavy defoliation on all lower branches and small flower sites. Let’s hope I will still pullsome decent flower off her for this run.

Pictures to come later

I still have the stump and 1 branch of the Sowah apple so technically I still have it.

The flower that was on it smelt amazing so its a piss off but this is how things go sometimes. I’ll see if I can get this girl to veg again and see what happens.

I can also pop some of the f2 Sowah Apple I made as well @luxton so the world still has hope for the Sowah Apple lineage. You have no idea how killer the smell is off this line. Never grown anything like it before.

Really strong apple I’m guessing?? I just cut down a Blueberry that smelled like 1 giant blueberry, lol… An apple next could be fun :grin:

@luxton, It doesn’t smell like apple thou that would be awesome. I smelt more like sweet fruit loops lifesaver to me but all our noses are different. The dry sift I got from it from shucking the seeds gave me quite a lot and even 6 months later still holds this smell. It’s wicked!!

Oh nice!! I do love me some fruit loops .

Sounds super tasty, and it’s even more of a bummer you had to cut (most of) yours down

Here’s a couple pictures of a few plants I have growing in the backyard raised beds. I have 4 types kindly gifted to me by @OriginalDankmaster96 to grow in our very Northern climate to see if this is something that would work here. The strains are Island Crippy, Pressure Skunk, CripXmas A2 fem and Dankmaster Crippy.

They were put out late but each is coming into they’re own and bushing out nicely. The stocks are get Thick and honestly starting to smell like straight up Dank Fire!! Can’t wait to see these bulk up in the coming weeks and months.

I also have a (Kush4 x Sunshine Daydream) x Puck bc3 looking stellar as well. This one was much more grown up when she was place outdoors.

Next up will be pictures of the indoor girls in all they’re glory and mishaps on my part but that will have to wait till tomorrow:)

On this afternoon of “Whats happening in my tent”. I spent a fair amount of time tending to the plants, up potting and planting some Crippy into the Earthbox. Along with that I had to cut down my Sowah Apple mom entirely as she had balls due to a user error (me) adding a light and screwing up the timer. (Still annoyed at myself for that) but on we go…

In the 1st photo it was the good Ole 3x3 just rocking it. I’ve kept everything in there for too long but all are responding very well and greening back up since getting up potted into their new size 2gal shoes. Out of the 5 taller ones in the 3x3 3 are girls. 1 Spencer’s Gift @Scarlyle, 1 Shellcatcher, 1 (kush4x Sunshine Daydream) x PUCK bcs3. And originally 4 boys. 2-Spencer’s Gift and 2 Shellcatcher.

2 of the males or what I’m thinking are male ive left in the 3x3 for now but the 2 others I’ve moved into the 4x2 and to get them to fully sex as I would like to do a bit of pollen collection. The Spencer’s Gift is the Afghani leaner which I’m really liking so I’d like to continue on with his genetics and 1 of the Shellcatcher as well for a bit of a personal pollen chuck. Only thing else in the 4x2 is the bagseed Beauty just coming into her 3 week of flower and going to get a little dusted with some Blue Moonrocks courtesy of @dougdawson.

Now finally, I have been keeping my little crippy in solo while getting the greenhouse finished now I can start to get them into they’re new shoes and out. 2 CripXmas A2 fem found they’re way into a 1gal living soil home and 3 found thier new shoes in the Earthbox. This run of the Earthbox with be fed organic dry amendments from Gaia green and will continually be fed compost teas. I hope they’ll like the days and months to come. In the Earthbox I’ll be planting x2 Island Crippy and in the Middle The shorter but no less awesome is A Dankmaster Crippy. My thoughts with planting these 3 in her is I’ll be training them out a bit more so light can find all the spots.

There will be more updates and things progress just wanted to give a short update to what’s happening in my little canna habitat.
