FoxFarm Ocean Forest Organic Soil

I tried coast of Maine stonington blend and it’s alright. Lighter airier soil just seems to work a bit better for me.

I tried Happy Frog and Ocean Forest and I also blended the two to see which was better. the result was I didn’t like either of the soils and didn’t like it blended either. I now use a custom blend from a local botanist/soil rehab specialist.

I have seen some others but I just spoke to an older man with nerve damage and pays top money at dispensaries well he told me he started growing and asked me if I used any real manure mixed in my soil and I asked what type of animal manure he told me he owns 40
large breeding rabbits so I did a google search and found this top page, very easy to get here and he told me his blue beries grow double in size …

Rabbit manure is an excellent option for growers who need nutrients fast.
Rabbit manure does not need to undergo hot composting, and thus can be added
directly to the topsoil to provide nutrients to cannabis plants.

Old underwear work? Lol. I’m bored.

Grows after grows I used the Happy Frog but just my opinion the Ocean Forest gave my plants a much needed lift … but with Happy Frog my white widow x big bud always did great.

:crossed_fingers: Thank You :sunglasses:

In my experience these soils need about 15-25% added perlite in order to work best. Took me 3 cycles to learn how it works and use it well. It needs top dressing or added liquid nutrients unless you flip early with a large container and the phenos isn’t heavy feeder.

When I was using fox farms I liked to do early plants in happy frog w/ 25% perlite added, then up potting to a 7 gallon with the upper half happy frog, and the lower half ocean forrest. Both with added perlite. The ocean forrest is a little hot for young plants and some cultivars get nutrient burn, so better to allow your small veg plants establish in the happy frog. In 7 gallon fabric pots I only ever top dressed with kelp meal teas and Earthworm castings and the plants always seemed well fed. I did get the gnats as well a couple of times, if you have the time I recommend putting the soil in black contractor bags laid out in the sun for a few days before use to try and burn off the chance of gnats

I use happy frog until the first transplant, then in the next pot ill use 50% Happy Frog, 50% Ocean Forest for the slight boost in nutes. Then at flip I transplant again and use 100% Ocean forest and then nutes from there and as needed . Has been working out great. Before this method I only used straight ocean forest from seedling u til harvest and I like the new mixing method better tbh.

I when I find Ocean Forest for $12-$15 I’ll buy 5-7 bags. With me buying more then i need it will sit. So i amend it with happy frog Fertilizers (12$) and let it cook 3-6 months then blend that back with straight Ocean Forest. It tends to skink something fierce by the time it’s ready. Then I still use liquid feeds. This year it may harder to find these at these prices.

That dirt with the roots in it makes awesome starter dirt and I noticed I don’t have any droop during transplant with that dirt I mean like ever.If you break it up just right and leave it in tiny clumps I noticed the new roots grow into that shit like Riot Root plugs. There’s trace elements still left in that soil that are partially digested so no nute burn.I’ve been cutting and pulling the main stalks and planting the next seedling like right next to that hole and I got way stronger plants this go.Break it up when this run is done wash rinse repeat.Great dirt man
