He fractured his leg last week. Hoping he heals quick. Doc says 3 weeks. Sounds like you have enough anyway. Fingers crossed you get your tenth plant! How is plant 1? Must be a tree by now lol. Picture?

She us in a 32 Oz yogurt container, so I’ve kept her small she’s between 2 and 3 ft Im really thinking of putting her in a 5 gal now then take clones to replace her with .

Crazy how these sativas can get so big and stay so happy in small containers. If it was me I would take three or four cuttings. One or two for the seed project , and another couple for breeding projects if you wanted to do a pollen chuck. I’d flower one of them seedless for sure😁. What smells are you getting, if any, from a stem rub?

Well you don’t even have to do a stem rub. It’s primarily mango with or without stem rub . It will make your mouth water . Cant wait to try the av seeds that shivam is sending you for me , so I can see if they will be the same or different.

Sounds intoxicating. I have heard mango is one of the terpenes that can be found in the Arakku, which has many cultivars. Any pics of the big one?

Well we had 10 av , lost the last seedling so we are back to 9 . The problem im.having is 8 of the 9 are or appear female the 9th is still to small to tell sex . So in this situation would it be best to drop more seeds or flip one branch on each plant ?

Man, I should’ve clarified this sooner, my apologies. On 10 packs or fewer, we’re asking people to drop all the seeds in the pack, for the same reason we’re asking people not cull plants because of phenotypical expression. Both of those things reduce the genetic potential in the offspring.
IMO, the goal of a preservation is to produce as many seeds as possible, with the maximum amount genetic potential. That’s the only reason those two protocols are in place.
Let’s say you have 10 seeds, and you drop 5. Out of those you get 4 plants, and one of them is a runt that you cull. Now you’ve got 3/10, and you’ve reduced the genetic potential in the offspring by 70%, which is significant. The more plants that contribute to the gene pool, the deeper it’s gonna be.
Unless you’re in a position to run 50 plants at a time, 9 plants is good for a preservation run, so I’d go with those. @Old-Ron’s doing the Colombian Gold run, and got 2 plants from the pack, so I think 9 will be just fine.

@Guitarzan shortage of gene pool really isn’t the issue on theses. I got 26 seeds from upstate and got I believe 3 plants . I ordered more seeds from cocogenes that took awhile and he sent extras. While i was waiting for the seeds to come from cocogenes , i spoke with shivam about the strain and he said he would send me some more av seeds in a package he was sending to upstate already once the lock down was lifted that was may 30th. Those selection of seeds I haven’t received yet upstate said he hurt his leg, sad deal I hope he’s fine since u haven’t heard from him. So the ordered seeds is where the other 6 plants come from . The youngest plant #9 i can’t tell sex of so that’s my issue the others all appear to be female. I need a male plant or 3 lol
Edited: from my understanding the seeds from.cocogenes are most likely domesticated . The ones coming from shivam are supposed to be semi domesticated .

I think I would drop some more seeds buddy. Are you sure they are showing sex already? How old are they? Do you have any pictures? It would be awfully early for them to show sex I think

Due to the lockdown in India Shivam has not been able to send any Seeds. I told him it looked like we were okay without them, and to take his time.

Why would you tell him not to send what he was sending to me, that isn’t / wasn’t your place . You had nothing to do with the conversation with shivam. Those seeds I had plans to open the gene pool more with. So hopefully he still sends those .
In my experience, that is correct.
I had very low germ rates from 3 different real seed co strains.
Specifically, I had low germ rates on lebanese, 2 mutants which did not survive out of 20 seeds of their malana, and nothing at all from their kumaoni which was not viable at all.

I had low germ rates and sudden seedling death with their Iranian selection. Only 2 ended up surviving of 12. Popping their Ukhrul soon, hoping they don’t have a similar issue

Lol. Telling a friend not to stress isn’t really the same as telling him not to send you seeds.
No offense, but there’s dozens of us he was gunna send packs to — I sincerely doubt your name came up during the conversation.

@Worcestershire_Farms . Yeah he feels pretty bad about it. You can’t rush when covid is Raging, seeds just get lost. I sent him a whole bunch of seeds just as the Delta variant hit India. That was I think back in March. Seeds are gone

My apologies I must have read it wrong / misunderstood . I read it as you told him not to send the av seeds he told me he was sending for me in my and his conversation. The time frame doesn’t matter to me , it’s the use of the genetics .
