Freaker's Kandahar Preservation

I think there’s close to 500 in that bud in the pic :metal:

Very nice!

It’s coming along. Humidity is high here now, so drying is a bitch. Here’s what has fallen out of the plants so far.

Once the buds are really dry, I’m gonna throw em in bubble bag and do a dry shake…get some crystals and jostle loose all the remaining seeds.

Woa that’s already quite a lot of seeds considering the size of the plants. Well done!

Seeds are pretty much ready…took longer than expected for the plants to dry to a crisp.
Unfortunately, I don’t have time to bag everything up and send individual packs. Are we able to send the bulk seeds to another member to have these distributed?
I’m still dealing with some stuff, which is why I had to step away in the first place…but would love to have this finish up.
Pics of total seeds and dry sift hash soon.

As a Freaker’s Preservation, wouldn’t the distribution to members be included with the fall box distribution? If not, I’d be willing to help with distribution.

I’m pretty sure once the Freakers obligation is met, the excess goes into the co-op system.

Alright, boys…sorry for the long gaps between posts. Life has been wild. In-laws were evacuated from their apartment building and are half-staying with us…so we have an extra 4 people here, off and on, plus a basement and garage packed to the tits. They’re elderly and taking care of 2 great-grand children…so 8 of us under 1 roof…wish we had a second bathroom…lol. Bunch of other stuff happening too, but blah to that.

Anyway…back to business.

I want to thank @Upstate for the seed hookup. The seeds were gorgeous and beautiful plants from them! Wish I had some more pics of the males, but I wasn’t able to risk pollen getting everywhere.

I also want to send a huge shoutout to @LandraceWarden !! Your hard work and dedication preserving these beautiful strains is nothing short of amazing and I am incredibly grateful for everything you do!
@LandraceWarden is truly committed to making these seeds accessible worldwide and supporting the farmers who have preserved this heritage for us all. Show some support…he has some awesome strains available here…

Haven’t been able to make the dry sift yet…kids running around everywhere these days. Seeds are still being prepped…also difficult with kids running around…lol.

For the Freaker’s, every member is now responsible for mailing to the other Freaker members. @YoBigdaddy carried that weight for a long time for us, but he was pretty much left on his own with no help at all…including cash to do the mailings, so now every Freak has to pull their own weight.
As far as mailing seed to the co-op, @G-paS can point you in the right direction. If you have limited seeds and you only want 10 or 12 to go to each person that signs up on the Overflow list, It would be best to count them out. Otherwise, if you are mailing bulk seeds, she has a predetermined weight or seed scooper and she scoops up that amount of seed to go in each pack without really counting the seeds. It’s the only way to pack seeds fast enough. She always appreciates if you are packing them yourself of course.

That’s entirely up to the grower, But generally speaking most of us have big hearts😁 and pass along excess seeds to the co-op for distribution. It depends how many seeds were made. Some runs produce less seed than others. Especially with Landrace grows, we are often flying by the seat of our pants and have no idea how fast the plants will grow or how much they will stretch once the lights are flipped… so sometimes the plants end up being smaller than intended and there are less seeds than wished.

You are quite welcome! In turn I would like to pass that thanks off to the Landrace Warden for the special seeds he gifted me. It’s worth repeating that he has an excellent strain lineup that everybody interested in landraces ought to be checking out. If you are looking to make your favorite strain tougher or to help acclimate your favorite to your climate, mixing in landraces from the proper region is the way to go, no doubt. Afghan genetics for the west and Pakistani genetics for the east ( usa)

@upstate Approximately how many Freakers are there atm?

@Tappy Since we’re in the same city and I’m recently retired, I would be happy to volunteer for any tasks like organizing/coordinating distribution right down to counting, packing flips and mailing. :green_heart:

I’d guess around 12- 15? I don’t rightly know. @YoBigdaddy likely has a better idea

Cool. For some reason, I thought there would be 100’s.

Well if it’s under 50 then, I would be happy to cover the costs of materials and postage as well @Tappy
