Going out of town and wanted to see how long my coco could make it without watering to see if caretaker could get by with one visit.
Went 72 hours then heavily watered today with 6.2ph water as usual. Didn’t notice this when watering… I’m sure I would have as it’s pretty overwhelming and has me freaking out a bit.
Started a post a bit ago on PM to learn about it as I near flower. I wanted to trim leaves so I went to go do so and then noticed this… I watered maybe two hours before.
Some people have said it’s maybe salt and not PM any tips? How can I test? Part of me wants to pitch them all? Nothing on my plants just the damn fabric pots. The good pics are from 72 hours ago when I did the previous watering
@LouDog420 lol I just said this to you! …. Lou said something about PM can’t grow on fabric only living material so that makes me feel better. I’ll just ignore it and carry forward. I did reduce rent to 75f and 70RH think still to high?
I think it’s more likely generic soil fungus given the glove pic where you seemed to wipe it off. If it’s not growing on plant tissue, I wouldn’t worry.
Second to last pic, are those mold spots on the leaf or just the way the light is shining? Center about 1/4 down and right side about 1/4 down from the top…
Also I fed for the very first time using megacrop on the last feed I did before going z72 hours without water. Then I watered tonight came down two hours later saw that… any chance I “flushed” the megacrop out and it saltified on the bag? First time engine grow they got fed nutrients… seems to much a coincidence nothing then I watered and all bags show this
Fabric pots are notorious for showing salts.
Molds are a possibility but do not take hold anywhere there’s air movement, so I doubt the residue you were able to produce on your finger tip is mold.
I stopped using fabric pots, but when I did use them there was more often salt buildup on them than not. Nothing enough to bother the plants more than a timely dose of enzyme finishing product bottle will fix (I use BAC Final Solution, works wonders when applied at the right time, to the noticing eye and for the plant, is easy to apply and is great for pre-grow, 5th week flower and 1 week before harvest soil treatment).
Ima huge fan of enzymes!! They’re a staple in all my gardens. I like to germinate mung beans and once the root is about 2" long ill throw them into my Ninja blender with some 0ppm water and make a growth horemone soup I then dilute down further and soil drench. Results are seen within hours to a full day.
Got some more info on that? Not to hijack the thread or anything
If you have a source that’d be awesome. Not that I contest what you are saying or anything, just cause I like reading and applying horticultural papers and the likes.
Looking it up myself too and reading a web page on the subject rn.
Just info I’ve read on other forum, but I’m sure that there’s something on the internet.
Google sprout tea, fermented seed tea… shit like that will produce an array of results. KNF is a good place to find anything DIY like this topic as most people will ferment their sprout concoctions. Sorry I’m not much more help
Can’t tell really, just feeling in seeing the reparttition : Cal.
DON’T TASTE IT IN ANY WAY ! (lol someone have smoked hardly)
Scratch with a knife enough, put it in a glass. Add around 10 ml of your RO water, test the PH.
If it’s a lunar PH (close to two digits : “limestone”). This powder remember me the old days when i was growing in clay pots.
