I want to say thank you very much to @Tracker for gifting me my first pack of seeds since joining OG. I am really excited to pop these and have been moved to the top of the list. About to be flavor town up in this B!!

Figured this would be a good place to check. Do you need an international stamp to ship a card from US to Canada? Iā€™ve got a bunch of old co-op stuff and some others Iā€™ve come across here that Iā€™ll never get to, but funds are also tight. Canā€™t even spare for a book of stamps atm, let alone 2.

@ChronicMcBudz Yes, one global forever stamp 1.30usd at post office. I also put 1 domestic forever stamp to cover the non-machinable surcharge you are supposed to put if the envelope is not completely flexible.

Iā€™m in Europe and have received seeds in envelopes from the US with only the 1.30usd global stamp.

They always make it here with no problem.

How??? Last time I went to the post office to send a envelope with 10 seeds in it ended up costing me $30 to ship and never got there even with tracking saying it made it.

@darkillusion I share to Europe many times using plain envelope with protective packaging less than 0.25" thickness. I put one 1.30usd global forever stamp. I also put 1 domestic forever stamp to cover the 0.30usd surcharge for non-machinable. If you donā€™t put the extra stamp for the surcharge, it will most likely still get to its destination, but it also might get returned to sender. Package must weight less than 1oz with that postage.

Out of many many shares I sent all over the workd this way, the only place it didnā€™t make it to its destination was in Pakistan, and that was a weitmrd looking tribal address in the mountains.

It would be untracked and would have to be a card and not too thick. Washer and coin flip inside a thank you card works well. Just only sent to Canada once and thought I just doubled down on the forever stamps. Stoner brain isnā€™t sure tho

I think forever stamps are worth 0.60usd right now, so you would have to put 3 to cover the global letter mail cost.

Thatā€™s too much, far too much!!

Whenever someone is sending me seeds I alway advise to send in an ordinary envelope. Spares the paperwork of customs form and itā€™s cheaper!

Does not help I live in a small good old boy town and when the postman sees a envelope going overseas if he/she feels anything in it besides paper, they pull out custom forms and so on.

I donā€™t say anything to the postman. I just drop them in the letter drop inside the PO. I have sent things with tracking internationally before. I just say ā€œbeadsā€ and 1.00usd for value.

Thatā€™s why the card trick works well. A washer inside a card is no thicker than one of those pop out musical cards. Iā€™ve done it a few times with the international stamps. Just was hoping to only buy forever stamps and double down on the ones going to Canada cause I think thatā€™s what I did, but it was forever ago

I tried doing thatā€¦they all get bounced back to my home with a sticker on it stating it needs customs forms filled out for it.

Cleverā€¦ but most cardsā€¦ the ones that have songs in them etcā€¦ have an identical sized disk as the seed casesā€¦ make it where they donā€™t rattle and youā€™re golden

Lmfaoā€¦ we must think alikeā€¦ I didnā€™t see your post hahahaha
