Getting my GF to watch that movie was the equivalent of when he tried to get the woman or his friend to put the glasses on (minus the physical violence) 
When she relented and watched it she loved it.
Come to think of it most things I convince her to watch go that way. You should have seen the battle to get her to watch Kids In The Hall Brain Candy, which she ended up loving.

I played one of the Duke Nukem games for ps2 and one of his sayings was “A turd in a hand is worth 2 in the bush”. Cracks me up to this day

Also while I loved Duke Nukem I liked the later release called Shadow Warrior better. “Do you want to wash Wang or watch Wang wash wang”. ROFL. It was a step up from Duke Nukem while Duke was a step up from Doom and Castle Wolfenstein.

I stand corrected! Ive never heard if “They Live” but now I’m that I’m reading I HAVE to watch it! I thought it was als9 in another movie in the later 90’s, but now that I’m looking for it, I feel like I’m making it up, as I can’t find it
