I understand the correlation. The laugh in my comment was empathetic, directed at the institution denying health care to a person in need. I’m not sure how that makes me the problem. I guess I should have typed that all out, but I am not feeling well today and woke up to find that response.
I’m sorry if what I said was offensive. I’m still a little confused on how, but that doesn’t really matter. @piper I apologize. Offending you was not my intention. I find it very low how poorly people are treated in the name of $. I also have no religion after being raised Catholic. I am not trying to make an excuse for offending, you just offering you my point of view when the comment was made. I am very sorry if that comment added any negativity to your day, I really had not intended it that way.
Your use of the word catholic would be my guess. No one is being unfriendly, but the institution in which you took that jab at is also part of a religion for some. Had you laughed at healthcare in general I think it wouldn’t have been received the same way.
I in no way shape or form care about religion or care to express or debate how I or others could or should feel about comments or thoughts to religion itself. However, I can surely say if you yourself removed the word catholic from your statement, would see how the same laugh could be achieved?
Age old saying… leave politics and religion alone unless you’re prepared.
