@misterbee mate, you’re a VERY kind man - i consider anything with loadsa trichomes all over as a ‘Hash-plant - WHAT does everyone else consider a ‘HP’ .?

Have you thought about reversing a couple little clones at home, then pollinating in the field? I find STS works better, and is much easier, than CS.

I have, but am currently taking up space with my tissue culture project. I’ve reversed plants in the field but have had issues with them being sterile. That’s why I’ve used males before.

To add to what the very knowledgeable @anon5325009 has said. Varieties grown and intended to be turned into hash. And we all know the best hash came/comes from the middle eastern region. Now some of those crosses misterbee listed such as Healing HP is a bodhi creation using his 88g13/hashplant dad. I would not consider 88g13hashplant to be a hashplant so i would not consider Healing Hashplant a hashplant or even a hashplant cross. Real hashplants are leafy as hell and are usually not considered useful for bud production. Although there are some exceptions to this. Just my 2 cents. Not that it matters.

Agree with ya there, in fact I wouldn’t consider most modern western varieties to be hash plants at all. The bract (calyxe) to leaf ratio has been greatly improved and our plants typically have much stronger branching than the traditional hash plants of times past. One distinctive trait that has remained has been the long stalks on trichomes which probably was seletively bred to cause them to break off with more ease allowing more efficient hash production with the screen beating technique. Leafier plants meant more surface area with more resin. We’ve since bred against it being flower obsessed westerners that want to dodge trim jail at all costs.
The term I use loosely to describe “modern hash plants” are typically plants with a dominant Afghani or Pakistani background which display a thick stalk, broad fan leaves, tight internodes, and a large central cola with buds displaying strong resin production.
