FreeHugs makes bubble hash rosin

Modified bubblebagdude washer with a straight braided hose and a shut off valve and a bag of ice.

Ice in water

I’m guessing about 3 ounces of fresh frozen buds that I rough trimmed.

In the bag

In the washer to soak for 30 mins

Decided to add another bag of ice (48 standard ice cubes from freezer trays) and to wait another 10 - 15 mins.

While we wait these are my bucket inserts between the screen bags. They are cut 2 inches from the bottom of the lip. The are there to space the bags and to hold them in place. I think I got the idea from Frenchy.

Level is higher than you’d want in a stock bubblebagdude washer but with a shut off valve I should have no issues. Maybe I should have let the ice melt a little more but it’s off for 15 mins for its first wash.

Following along out of curiosity. I’ve only bubbled the old fashion way. I would think that you’d want those buds chopped a little smaller. But hell, what do I know, lol. Wishing ya a fruitful venture!

I would change the amount of bubble bags you’re using, you really only need 3

Thanks Jinglepot. I was thinking the same but as I haven’t washed Larry OG before I thought it best to test a much wider net to see what hits best. The most productive by far was the 90.

I’ll chop the other 3 ounces of Larry OG I have to compare the results. I still laugh that I have so much pot I’ve grown for myself that I can waste pot testing things and not care.

First bag was trash I washed off

I still need to rinse the bags so I just put them back in their buckets and put it outside in the cold to not gum up while I let some more ice melt and give the material a hour wash

Yeah, I’m the of the same mindset, if you’re washing a new strain use all the bags and record respective yields. otherwise you’re just guessing at which micron sizes would be best.

My tip would be to ditch the 220 wash bag! After trying it both ways and also seeing others have ditched it (reiko etc)…you get much more return washing the bids with no working bag.

I’m thinking the same thing. I never used the bag before so I thought I’d try it. Next run I’ll use no working bag and cut up the frozen buds and we can test the yield result difference

My first batch results. I left so much on the outside of the working I washed off and left in the machine foe the second batch. This batch looked about 2 ounces but will include the working bag rinse off.

I’ll be sitting in the corner watching the fun.

Thanks man. I don’t make mistakes, I make repeatable variations to test for science. Lol

Left corner is from the first run. I didn’t notice much difference in yield not using the work bag vs using it. I got a lot more contaminatd obviously but the yield seemed consistent.

It’s in the freezer for now to be grated later

21 grams from about 5 ounces of flower. I need to buy a new grater today for this. I still have some fresh / frozen Super Lemon Haze to do and some old dried UBC chemo I’ll have to rehydrate.

What’s that, about a 15% return? Not to shabby. I bet u can do better though!

Thanks man. I’m sure I’ll get better but I’m happy with the quality of what I see. It’s got a really nice color. I’m really looking forward to pressing it

You gonna use a pollen press first to make pucks?

I’m going to use my rosin press. I’m excited to see what the hype is for rosin pressed from bubble hash.
