Hey so I have an interesting dilemma at hand, I have a few plants running in a tent that I would ideally like to turn into hash. The problem is I do not have a chest freezer, or a place to even put one if I had it. So I was wondering if anyone else has come up with a solution to the problem of making fresh frozen bud without a chest freezer. I know there are a few talented hash makers on here, hopefully one or more of you guys chimes in.

The hash makers in Morocco and Afghanistan did not have freezers or freeze dryers.

Honestly, thats my vote. I cant make fresh hash for shit even if i had a flash freezer lol. With dry sift you can taste the beatles and really smell ravi shankar. Wait…

The Afghans i saw did it dry.sifted using different grades of fabric.They put all the product dry as a bone on the floor in a pile and beat the living shit out of it with 2x4s till it was broken up and sifted in a trough they built that was about 5 foot wide 8 ft long they laid the layers of different fabrics on…They would grade the kief pretty clean this way i was suprised same principle as my silk screens

@CocoaCoir @CapnCannabis yes, I know old school techniques for making hash have been working for hundreds of years, but it is not the hash I am looking to make at the moment. Ideally I would like to pull some six star hash out of this run, and with the remainder make temple balls. I personally have come to really enjoy temple balls made with fresh frozen material, there is just something about the flavors that come through. I have made plenty of bubble hash from dried material, and its just not the product I want at the moment. Thanks for the input though.
@Hashpants this may be my solution. I don’t have a proper wash space set up at the moment but I do have a friend who does, and he would let me use all of his gear, but I still would need to get the material to his place frozen. I know some people will do a transfer like that on dry ice, but that is after a stint in the chest freezer. But again, your solution may be the best one at the moment.
I am still open for lots of suggestions.

Will do. I do enjoy very traditional hash, and when that stuff is of top quality there is little hash than can stand up to it. In fact its really what set me off on my current hash kick; I had a buddy who was getting imported Moroccan for a bit and when I smoked that as well as more current forms of hash I was reminded of the myriad of pleasures hash can provide.
But as I said, I am currently looking to make some of the meltiest temple balls I can. I have a buddy who did it with less than ideal conditions, so I know it can be done. But I am a stubborn idiot about things some times.

It can be done! I just did it. We had to use the freezer in my buddys kitchen lol. That said it only needs what? 8-12 hours to freeze.
Hard to get around the frozen part of fresh frozen.
Some honey bananas bubble that didn’t make it into the rosin press that is being aged…… well the rest is I’m smoking this ball lol. Next time we are going to do the frenchy method of rolling it out with a hot wine bottle. We didn’t introduce any heat to this, just broad spectrum resin.

You want to freeze things without a freezer? I would suggest a freezer.
I’m just a small fry and save up my larf and trim over several runs to make a hash run.
I can barely fit a tray of ice cubes in my freezer.

you don’t need a freezer, toss the buds in ice water and let it sit a while then wash it. use a lot of ice.
Without proper tools you’re not going to get the Insta famous “6 star” see through pure heads. They have specialized equipment, a process & a setup someone paid a lot of money for to get those kinds of results.
You could try static tech.
i suggest the dry ice method, you could just harvest, tossed into the mesh bags and pour a layer of dry ice on the botton and top, w8 a few minutes then just shake your hash
