From SSeeDD to sail.. exploring SSDD, pollen chucks & Bodhi Crosses

The HHP barely has any odor at all. Maybe slight carrot smell. I have to admit I’m a bit impatient with this round because they took a bit longer to start flowering than I’d like. The OG x HP stuff all is starting to look really bad because it’s so rootbound. Need the flower space clear so that I can pot them up and veg them out a bit. Don’t really have the space for everything in the tent they’re currently in. Just thinking out loud, not doing anything yet but I definitely won’t be taking everything extra late.

Will probably try to get pictures later of some stuff but gonna go back to spending time with dogs for now haha.

Mine was mostly earthy w/ a sort of incense at the back. I’d love a carrot pheno. Some of the first plants I grew indoors were supposed to be Jack Herer clones. They smell was just like a memory of hitching through the carrot harvest in Central Cali. it was palpable. One more reason to go through some more HH,

Interesting about the carrot smell anecdote. Sadly I didn’t grow anything this round to a quality I’m satisfied with so any judgements will always have that in the back of my mind as well. That’s also a contributing factor for me leaning towards moving on to next project ASAP.

Here are some quick snaps from today

I’m seriously thinking about pulling everything in a week or 2 so that I can veg the OG x HP stuff, take cuttings and then repot for this fall. They are severely rootbound and stressed out now in their 3" pots. The Fall / Winter projects are always the most important to me for many reasons and really don’t want to compromise it all.

Some no-flash Lav Jack shots when I had to go in there to grab my camera earlier.

Still thinking about taking them down soon. I know it’s not really ready but the OG x 88g13hp stuff is looking horrible in the 3" pots @ 12"+. They need space in order to be transplanted.

The third Lavender Jack looks done to me anyway. But yeah, I could see how you might wanna let those others go for a little while longer. You gotta do what you gotta do, though haha.

Bro, those pictures have got me feeling some kinda way!
How are your plant’s fades so flawless!? I’m going to come sit on your doorstep until you take me in, and teach me your Kung fu

Which is your favorite lavender jack, so far? I like the looks of that Chem x SSDD too… great job for the small pots!

The tall one definitely. I find the purple one interesting for its photogenic colors but really doesn’t smell or feel special. We’ve gone over the effects disclaimer ad nauseam so I don’t feel like I need to type it out again haha.

Chem x SSDD doesn’t smell very strong and is uninteresting in person.
Herer HP has 0 odor and absolutely no stickiness on bud squeeze.
The 2 smaller lav jacks are decent enough plants but don’t stand out as special to me (*effects disclaimer)
Tall lav jack smells pretty strong and is on the greasy side of trichome oil.
Baba kush is too rootbound to comment on really, smells decent though.

Haha thanks! Just using a water only soil mix and the genetics / senescece is doing the rest of the work whenever there’s a colorful fade.

Ya for sure, will probably try to give it another week or so.

Thanks!

Yeah, I’d guess the tall one is everyone’s favorite too, It stands out to me. I know you’re not that familiar with the jack/terpinolene smells, but you’ve grown a decent amount of Wookie crosses, so, would you say that there is any of the ‘wookie smell’ coming through, or no? Trying to figure out if that on is just a super Jack dominate one or what? Of course, we won’t know the full picture until you get a chance to smoke them.

Yeah that one looked hungry, for sure. Looks like a lot of Bubba there too. Hopefully you’ll get enough to get a feel for what’s there.

Grain of salt but I’d say the shorter two could be w15 leaning based on them smelling like a handful of phenos I encountered in SunRa & Granola Funk. Space monkey was a bit different. Only 3 W15 crosses I’ve grown I believe. I think Bodhi’s jack mother looks sort of like the W15 pictures we’ve seen. I know I’ve seen pictures and some of his comments on breedbay about the jack he used at least. No clue what’s going on with this tall lav jack.

edit forgot to answer your question - no I don’t believe there is any w15 smell coming through.

I know there’s a better pic of the lavender cut itself but I can’t find it right now.

can tell it throws down tho

The one HHP I finished had sandy, almost dry trichs… but an amazing amount of them. They were falling off as I trimmed. Talk about dry sift, lol!

Cool thanks for posting that! Don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture of BB’s lavender.

Ya some strains it seems retain their trichomes better than others. It’s always kind of cool when it looks like there’s a film coating of powdered sugar under the buds when you break them up haha.

Here’s some quick pictures from today. Got HHP & Baba Kush this time

Wow that lavender Jack looks absolutely amazing.

Thanks and ya seems like it’s real common to find purple leaves / slight purple buds in the Lav Jack from what I’ve seen posted here and other places. I like the look of the taller one a bit more in person but am unable to capture how much frostier it looks compared to the other lav jacks.

Opened up some Week 10 TSA today and it was ultra loud and at 64% humidity. Seems like that’s OK and that the grove bags are doing a good job. Wish I could report on effects more but I really haven’t been consuming much lately and am not going to be confident reviewing a strain based on casual use. All the feedback I’ve gotten on it has been overwhelmingly positive and the few times I’ve consumed it was nice and reminded me of ssdd. As far as the plant traits it is one of my favorites for sure, definitely the favorite of this year. Going to keep it around for a while regardless for when I start consuming more again.

“TSA”, Is that your Triple Sunshine pheno “A”? Thank you.

Bummer that the Waking Dream (WiFi OG x SSDD) wasn’t as memorable. WD was much easier to find seeds of the 2 strains.

Well it should be pointed out that it was one plant out of the pack and could have been grown better. Who knows what other phenos would be found if a more extensive hunt took place. I haven’t thought seriously about it but I’d say at least 2 of my favorite Bodhi strains were very common genetics & also freebies. Devil’s HP & SFV x Wookie15. Space Monkey is/was very common as well.

The rarity of TS is unfortunate but honestly you can find amazing plants in the most accessible genetics that B offers as well.
