Fuel's grow log

I will try to take individual and accurate shots tomorow to explain it in details ;o)

At the moment i’m typing the words, all muscles of my body are harmfull lol Very rushy week, big work in the house everyday to do … and not so much time to spend with plants. And they are not happy at all lol

On the veg side, they are starving a bit. They are eating the jerricans of seedlings by lack of energy to do the soup after a big day. They need N as fck, specially the sweet tooth on rear left.

The bitchy JH#2 (front left) is not so disturbed by the gandhi diet, no surprise. The GSxBJ is fading, they are the ones than need the more K of the three.

It mean three different jerricans to prepare, and just to think about that i can invoke the last gram of energy i have to do it. Fortunately, my timers are set to run during the day when i’m available. I will try to find an hour tommorow morning to feed them rightly, at least it’s an obligation the seedling’s jerricans are empty ^^

Twos ST#3 specimens i’m loving, majestic and motivated to dominate the crop.

The lemony-potent JH#2, it’s barely like nothing happened with them. Bitches.

And the US blend than start to segregate a bit when maturating in veg. Very interresting scents allready, and structure.
The selection is not finished with them.

On the flo side it’s catastrophic lol I’ve missed totally to check the timer of the pump, so to was overwatered during a good week. This round is full of mistakes and unexpected problems damned. Can’t wait the clone of the selections.

This WTF seed stay keep rushing as hell, no matter what. Even the overwatering don’t have stopped her, she just rush.

Another shameless update ^^ Lack of time and lack of care again, it happend. I use most of the little time i have to spend to maintain the flower production on a good grade, and doing my best to keep the selected specimens ready to be cloned.

They all need to be transplanted from 2Liters to 4Liters, since a week now. But i continue to maintain them to don’t fck my planning with the house. I will need an entire afternoon for the whole process, transplanting, checking, taking notes and changing/updating the notations.

Hard to share but the JH#2 are beauttifull in regard of their genotype and my lack of time, their pattern is as typical than stable and i can say than i’m proud of these ones. 5 final specimens than i can’t kill from this batch, all have the critical traits seeked “ON” , with a bonus for some. Can’t wait to fill the whole flo tent with these specimens and to launch for good the pollen box. I have a very resinous and sticky specimen than i hope will the male/stalion of the batch. If it’s the case, it will end only with one f10 line and a F1 with the best female. If not, it will end with at least alt twos lines of the #2. But initially i’m seeking only one specific female.

The ST#3 is without surprise, even if more young in generation, only F6. Rushing like hell, eating like an ogre and dominating the light. The selection of this batch will be very hard, the remaining phenotypes passed a very picky serial-killing, i end with a lot more specimens than planned. On the pic one can see in ease the 3:2:2 ratio it gave. I’m a bit stuck at this point, i need to flower them to go ahead and reduce their number. I’m initially seeking a male in these ones.

On rear left, the US blend than keep on the track aside very specialized and pushed IBLs. It’s absolutely not to be salty or EU-pride-something but it’s the very first US hybrid than is impressing me like that. And it’s an F1 btw. Not for the same reasons but i was not planning to end with so much specimen like the ST#3. I’m also feeling very in ease to decypher the plants, my background on OG Kush & Bubba help a bit more than planned. I was planning initially these bloods more recessives in the cross but they carry the veg stage for sure. But the “skeleton” structure is leaded by the Grapestomper without any doubt, a line than i like a lot more than the twos famous kush. Hard to share in pics but the profiles are difficult to select, the finalists have each theyr own profile and specificity. I will try to split the line in twos lines but also select a final F1 female.

And i will blend the three bloods in a firework, i hope ^^ I need to fill the jars for now and be patient before the new round, on the other side the tent is allready overgrown.

This week i’ve spended the little time i had with more accuracy, to care mostly about the flower production. I don’t want to end with disgusting hays but also don’t want end with a couple of blunts of autonomy lol My mistakes of the past week are corrected and the ladies are producing goodness. I was in fear at one moment, i switched back to handwatering and individual care but with the same solution to gain time.

Disclaimer : yes they look like flushed, but they are not and the harvest is not planned for tomorrow. I’m juggling in a way than you will more understand at the end of this round. Don’t be fooled on what i’m doing, be patient ^^

This one make me crazy to have killed her mother, the SGR4 by lack of place in the shoebox. For those than are following my madness since a while. I’ve told you, hybridized with a potent male it will make an incredible vigorous line pushing even on Mars. The scent are crazy and unexpected, very dominated by the sweet tooth male but the strong musk of the old skunk turned dieselish as fck with the fruity side of the male by the acidity.

This one is more in compliance with the ST#3 line i’m working on actually, leafy and “juicy fruity” but not sugared or musky. The female was the SGR6, a lot superior than the SGR4 on his flowers but finally a lot inferior in genetic terms. Near useless.

Special dedicace for a dear alien from outta space : it’s totally why i think than the quantitative breeding is BS, and than making pre-mendelian groups as early than possible give you a real control on what you do.

SGR6 hitted by a JH#5 male, she fight better but still too recessive.

More obvious with this one in an earlier stage, the JH flower shape totally took the control.
The twos are the most stretchy of the whole table, JH as fck.

Pure JH#5 F9, can’t share virtually but only in being close you feel than she will send you to orbit ^^

@McMuffin
Behind the things, the return : overfert plants, how i read it

So, the context look complex but it is not. They are all individuals 12/12 from seeds, 8 different lines now, and each third have one week more than the previous wave. I was supposed to let alive only the twos first thirds but the jars need stuff as fck for yesterday, so i played the hard game.

This one is from the first third, the youngest. They ate a decent basis, but with boosters of the older ones. This specimen is the more overfert of this group.

The first thing to spot is the central vein, abnormally thick and the development of the new bud leafs than appear like on a reveg plant. Then their texture, showed more in detail in the macro.

This typicall cactus aspect maded by trichomes base than are fighting to “drill” the vegetal mass and the shiny green is the sign than you will smoke a shitty weed on more mature buds. At this stage it’s only the red zone, i can juggle with until the plants enter truly in flowering stage and reach its maximum potential on assimilation. The very red zone before no return is possible on quality.

This one is from the second third, and as you see the base set for the younger is a bit low for its whole needs. But enough to use it for building the yield on buds, it’s all i ask. She’s allready in its plain assimilation phase and redirect all she can to strenght up the structure of the bud before “enlarging them”.

On the second pic you can see than with the same solution, the bud appear to be feeded just on the right limit. The texture is decent even if a little bordeline on this specimen. The K is too strong for her, you can see it with the dark green patches-gradient in the border of the leafs. Not big deal for the moment, this excess wil totally be eated during the “flush process” if it stay at this stage only. On plants heavly overfert in K, this typicall dark green is homogeneous on the whole leafs and sometimes at the point to give a “blue” hue to the whole plant. Needless to say than in the cone, it’s not the fiesta.

This one is from the last third, and you can see than its plain assimilation phase is over. The bud structure is set for good and she just working on yield, basically dedicated to make new flowers only, litterally.

Can be a lot better but considering the circumstance it’s a well balanced feeding, maybe a bit rich in P for her considering the bud leafs and their green tone. But i’m picky : no disformation, no plastic anywhere, “fine sand of trichomes” than easly grow on leafs. In finishing its main cola, she will eat the little excess.

Loop : all these plants was feeded with the exact same solution (by lack of time, but i assume lol)

behind the things : breeding notations, and layers of notations. Even if sh1t happend ^^

It’s finally more fun to share how to face the difficulties also on the flow. The one here is, short story, a problem with the quality of a new coco coir batch received lastly. All the plants are reacting bad, i need to give them cares for that and support their root’s production. Since a big week ^^

So, it become anyway a factor in the process to include. Specially the day i’m rewriting them because the timing never change.

There are 7 ST#3 specimens that are “not killed by hand for different eliminators reasons”. They are allready loaded with plastic knifes, the fight was bloody.

Now with the “augmented reality”, it’s freaking technologic. Short lexic on notation, pretty roots and without headaches :

  • P+ : phenotype high grade, known.
  • P : phenotype maintained average, known
  • T+, T+++, T : are the whole appreciation in term of olfactive and gustative feedbacks, with side notations : M = Musky
  • R+, R-, R–, R++, … : root mass global appreciation
  • Watching notations on dedicated knife mean : Specimen not decyphered or new phenotype/expression, -> to qualify

In the context another R notation is blended from previous ones in seedling’s stage and than have nothing to have with root mass. You generally see the R vertically on the knife.

More a dedicace and an exercice on the flow for somes ^^

So yeah, the plants are unhappy for too much LIFTA during twos weeks, with a systemic poblem of root development. And now, with the plants in front how the fck to keep the ball rolling.

I’ve done the full process with the Jack Herer to show how to change notes, it was freaking long to do ^^ Just the process itself is freaking long lol

Here we go, the finalists are not so numerous, it will be less long to write and read ^^
Before to rewrite the whole notations of all specimens, i set a procedure to judge also the damages of the actual problem than are facing the plant :

I remove the top layer of coco to wastes, the one than is falling when you tap gently the pot.
Then i remove the plant from the pot and judge the whole root mass : health, density, colonization layers, moist, odors

Also i will rub the trunk around the 5th node to judge the scents of the vegetal mass…

JH#2-06 : G+ (grip +).R+e (root endurance hardened off)

This phenotype have a particularity : it’s sticky everywhere since earlier stages and it increase in more mature stages. The root development is resistant and can handle to be hardened off in low volumes.
It was not in the range of my selection but it’s lucky find, will be splitted in a parralel line. Maybe hybridized too.

The specimen was not specially on top range on root mass before the problem, but it face it in a good way and the assimilation is barely not hitted. It will win its R+.

The scents are now deep and reach the weak camphor level by notes of musk, citric hints and backwood. Very pleasant and can enter in my needs for an hybrid. It got the T++, but i stay parano this aspect changed with the problem encountered. If she have to be sick to express this trait, i will remove the knife. For tastes, aromas in the cone, i never play with recessive breeding and i’m supposed to catch a mostly citric JH female for this run.

So it end with it :

R+ to face well the problematic of the whole crop

00- : double zero is the codename i use for a certain type of phenotypes, particulary resinous in regard of their generation

T++ : stay conditionnal in my mind atm, but there.

So from JH#2-06 (G+.R+e) it become JH#2-06 (R+.00-.T++). The notation don’t really change but evolve in a more definitive way. Until the full maturation of the plants in veg it’s as important than instinctive, i try to note instinctive also with more obvious code : G+ for Strong Grip than i will remember more in ease later. This specimen will stay the “grip specimen” in my mind until it die and after. The natural mnemonic name. But i will not remember its “Taste/T” profile or “Root/R” specifies without my side notes.

JH#2-01 : T+ (same), V1 (Vigor 1st wave) , R (generous early root development)

V1, V2, V3 etc … : They are “vigorous waves” of specimens qualifyed on seedling’s state, so this notation follow them all their spanlife. They show a particular early vigor and i will judge if they are just “dragsters” (it lead generally to an elimination, this vigor is lowered when mature) or “marathonian” (i keep them in the pool if they answer to the needs of the selection).

This one don’t show a specific resistance to the problem, but fight well against with its ressources. Refreshing its bottom root system and maintaining its high vegetative stature.

It get a : JH#2-01 (T++, R+, V1)

JH#2-03 : V2

This one have kept a low profile until now, and only got a V2 notation. Afterward, its whole performances appear to be stable and reliable, with a bonus for the scents of the vegetal mass on a specific range (than i will call “A”).

So it got a : JH#2-03 (T++A, R++, V2). In absolute, i will prefer this phenotype over the previous V1. For a bit less vigor, i get a specific chemotype profile (A) and a better resistance of root production against worries. But this profile don’t revealed earlier its scent’s specificity before the apparition of the problem, i will consider it like the “grip specimen” syndrom.

The T++A mean than this is not in a range of the citrus of my criteria, but on a Fruity/Liquor range.

JH#2-08 : V1

A low profile again but on a V1. And keep its low profile on the citrus range. I will need to flower this one to push the judgement, the only thing i can read is the shape of the father until now.

This specimen have a specific answer to the problem encountered, more close to what the Sweet Tooth #3 are showing in staying specific.

Look like lunar PH levels, but i will not make conclusion for now and concentrate my effort to heal the roots of the whole crop.

So it got a : JH#2-08 (V1.T++),

JH#2-08 : T+

This one exhibit early the citrus profile which is now reinforced, and actually prove a vigorous root mass than is very close to the father than was a fast cloner. The mass is dense, big sponge, and the outter layer productive and active.

So it got a JH#2-08(T++.R++) well deserved.

Can’t wait to clone them to decypher the triggered chemotype; i’ve some expectations on the 06 and the 03 to verify.
I feel than i will have the right female for my prototype, for the line itself i must wait the cloning performance than i search to increase since the last generation.

See ya later !

update 11 november 2019 : the 06 and the 02 was finally selected. The 06 is a monster of potency (mean long lasting), resistant to gnats and spider mites. The 02 have a clear high and very citric profile, but near to none resistance … i’m close to lose her if i forget a single day to care about her.

I think than i will finally use the 06, too much advantage everywhere and this potency … my god. Why ? Because i’ve done again the selection on the Sweet tooth #3 than is planned to be hybridized with, and on taste departement i’m back at it’s previous high scores.

Without a good male on sweet tooth#3, very flavorfull, i will choose the 02 instead.

For this late update, i’m entering in “urgency mode” and the tents become both hospitals and slaughter house ^^ During the last weeks, i’ve worked like crazy in the house and in bonus of a lack of cares, i’ve generated a big worry indirectly. Shit happend.

It start soft with a clogged prefilter, with the pic you can’t feel how hard it have becomed ^^ Like paperbox.

The negative pressure sucked plaster dirt all the lenght of all zips.

And the worse for the end, the tank with around one half centimeter of plaster on bottom ^^

Somes plants are so fcked than i’m switching to perpetual mode before the planned date, it’s when i love my unselected specimens. They fill the gap.

It’s pretty intensive and full time since Sunday, washing, diagnose, trying to fix if possible …

The veg specimens are entirely cloned now, all the selection + somes than i want to watch before to classify them.

I’m trying a specific care on a big sweet tooth to see if it change something, mix of “tap water rinse”, then 2AB, then foliar of Magic Green at 1. It’s a female i want to train a bit to make a “weed mom”.

The process don’t change itself, i’'ve cloned the apex and will judge their cloning performance and also the restart of the secondaries on the source specimens.

With the JH#2 it’s an hardcore test, this line take twos weeks to clone since a fews generations. I’m supposed to have increased this stat in the previous generation, to be continued …

On the flo side, a sort out of specimens was needed to don’t continue to waste time on somes.

Somes are “rinsed” with tap water to be harvested, because the chance to win some additionnal grammers are thin. Fortunately, it’s mainly JH#5 based bloods and pures. Allready pretty strong at this stage, blunts are not specially tasty but violent for sure ^^

Somes others are juste “freezed” and can restart their work (perhaps), i rinse their coco with 2AB + 0.3 Root Excel.

Twos specimens don’t give a fck and flower like nothing happend lol

SGR4 x ST#3, but no surprise on the unbreakable mother qualities. Scents are fun, fruity musky. I will start to prepare her to be harvested for mid november max.

SGR6 x ST#3, totally dominated by the ST3 blood.

A shame to harvest these JH bloods so early but somes nice phenotypes from the veg will take the turn soon by clones. No pity.

This is barely the new configuration, it will evolve more like a perpertual now. Somes will disapear, others will appear on the flow, the time to streamline a bit this big mess in something decent lol ^^

You can see twos rejected ST#3 specimens in diagonal than are dominating the sun, a bit proud of this line ^^

I have a Grapestomper x Bubba Jam than fight well also :

We will see what will happend with an intensive week of care, i cross my fingers to can revert back the consequences.

But each disadvantage have its advantages ^^ Smoke a fatty for me ! I need Jah vibes this week lol

Thx oleskool for your kind words ;o)

This week was more about intensive cares, transplanting and also “to close” the round on the minimal amount of specimens possible, to launch the next one.

In veg all specimens are cloned except one couple (male/female) of GSxBJ, all by apex. Can’t wait the roots, to launch some selected females in flo.

I forgot to show i do, but pretty classic and passive with coco pellets.

Things are moving a bit in flo, the unselected specimens take the turn until the selected take place.

The twos rejected sweet tooth in rear are rushing

The JH#5 specimens are fcked imho, i will not restart their metabolism i think.

I will let them fight a bit until i’ve better to replace with.

I can’t miss to show the very last production of Fuel’s industries, on top of the technology and industrial refinement : the active “cold flue” dryer ^^

The duct come from a little RVK of 350M3/h than is injecting fresh air in the flo tent. It just dry the weed faster without so much compromise during the winter.

With the last harvest, i get my artificial and lovely “breeding bubble” … now than everything is smoked (around a dry pound), i remember than it exist a world aside ^^ The end of this round was passionnating, let’s see the next episode lol

The crop is in cruiser speed now after some worries, and will be filled only with selected phenotypes. Can’t wait, after have smoked everything rejected i think than this round will be promising. The US blend lack a bit of horsepower as usual but the stone is delicious and not creepy, everything else is at top on IBLs; i’m lucky as fck for one time.

But i get gnats again damned, more a consequence of lack of care. And a bad lot of coco coir also, no choice i got 140 liters of trichodermas enriched. Happy to have used it all, this shit attract the gnats like flies. Well they are flies in a way. 140 liters of buffered no-trichodermas are on the go, this will be the starting block of the next round.

Behind the things : passive cloning, phase 2

So there is the clones, they are mainly apex. The coco pellet are usually “hydrated” by 0.25ml/L of Roots Excell solution but this time it’s 0.25ml/L of Startbooster. There is the simple process i’m using.

First thing i do with all pots, is to check the drain holes and to empty/refine them. With all pots in fact. When they are brand new, it’s frequent to get this.

I put a coco coir layer on bottom, put the clone inside.

Then i fill the remaining volume with a cheap soil of supermarket, neutralized by micro waves.

Then i cover with what i have under the hands at the moment lol

When i see that, i let them work without the dome the time to “densify” the root mass enough to be transplanted.

Then i let them work for different lenght of time. I’m used to “force” the clones a bit to produce my weed when i can, sometimes during one entire month. This time i will not to gain some time, i have comparisons to do with final choices to set for further generations. And in the hybrid i want to make, it’s a pivot point. It will give the spirit of the whole cross and its inherent main “traits”.

When they reach this state, they are ready to be transplanted.
Too early and the clone will take ages to colonize the coir, without consolidating the “aerial structure” in same time. And solid and generous secondaries is all i need for now ^^

You allready known what happend next in details ^^

Many others things to share, i will write it in taking the time. Training, and maybe a new technic to germinate bitchy seeds ^^ I’m still fighting with my old seeds of Ghanna x Zamal, i dig alternatives to relaunch this incredible line for a later hybrid.

I’ve a couple of smoke reports to share also because they represent the long term dynamic in what i’m doing and permit to enter in depth in the breeding consideration, face to the cone. It’s an important aspect than is never shared online, it’s weird.

See you later for a “in depth” decisionnal explanation on … 3 years i think. Yeah the last round of the lines i’m talking about was in 2006.

Smoke the best !

Hey there !

Not so much things to show these last times, it’s a transitionnal time.

I’m just finishing a fight against hungry gnats. I think than i’ve found the ultimate napalm for them, i will document that later for the recipe.

And the very last female specimens of the last round, the finalists, are on the go in the flo side since around three days. They are all backup by their apex in veg, with some extras to prepare in advance the first seed batches.

The apex clone will not be motherized, they will be directly be used to make seeds or weed (if rejected at final stage for a better one).

On the background, the barely definitive male’s set. They are waiting their turn to make the show in the pollen tent.

On right side, the result of an experiment about an homemade seed sprouter. Seeds are Perun F2, freebies from seedheaven. They was tagged 50% germination but all popped, i’ve just killed somes than was totally lacking of vigor.

On the flo side, nearly all selected females are there. They are the original specimens. ST#3, JH#2 and the kushy GSBJ. The EBB & Flow table is out the time to totally stabilize the situation with gnats but not only, this last layer of selection is important for the next move so i will use three differents soups for them with handwatering. You can see clearly twos specimens than are not gnats resistants ^^

I will fill the gap with the Perun F2 and with all clones i can made of JH and ST3 motherized females. And that’s the real subject of this update in fact. To show how i’m preparing and training clone’s producers to fill my blunts, when no more shape’s study is necessary.

Let’s show the freak for now

There is the principle, making a spring around the trunk. It permit to fully wrap it without hurting the development with a “tourniquet” effect. But not only, it’s also a mechanical help to work allready formed and mature specimens.

In starting by the base of the plant, you gently bend the whole trunk with its spring. Progressivly each day, to reach at the end a more insane angle like that :

The spring will act as an exoskeleton and insure to don’t broke the trunk or the sceondaries.

On the pic i’m preparing my weed-stash-clones-producers (motherplants lol) to make a circle around the pot. I will give news sometimes until the second step, when i remove the spring. The second part is funky also.

Each time than you bend under a certain angle, your secondaries will follow the light within 2 days. If it take more long, something is wrong and the plant don’t recover like it’s supposed to be. For clones producer, i try to let the maximum secondaries possible, even tiny and/or atrophied. At each clones harvest, these weak secondaries will boost.

I do that only when i form them and when i’m in hurry to stimulate new growths for clones. I just choose the twos secondaries than are the more distant from the base of the trunk, then i remove the shoot in taking care to don’t harm the internode under.

Then after that a little cure of root booster and when the plant restart to grow, the maximal dose of base than can handle the plant. For sativa-ish strain, i lower the base and add fulvic + extra K. Because i will scarify them later more than indica-ish strain.

Thats all for today, next update it will be more a documented flashback about breeding, smoke report and rejections. Risky business, it’s hard to present in a rationnal way something so subjective. To be continued !

Have a nice cone !

About the Sweet Tooth #3

I’ve finally resolved the ST#3 enigma, forced to return to F6 with retro-selection. One year in the ass with my project ^^
But it’s always hard to share how much you have to work for a single step, i’m working on my new hybrid and i maintain the IBLs at a time.

And for this one, my god, headache. I’ve finally found the divine solution, writed black on white one year ago … by myself. How silly and shamefull it is right ? There

I’ve now all P1 necessary to assemble the 3way, soon 4 years of hell to obtain that.

Rejected F6 specimens (but all in the right final range) :

At this point it’s very hard to share the feeling on site, the nuancies are impossible to share. So i will not do it.

This is the fucking hell SPG phenotype of this new segregation. I’ve her sister in veg side, much more stretchy/woody/biatch/resistant to nothing/ long to clone. But a lot more tasty, and keeping the violence of high of the (mendelian) hybrids forms. I’m pretty happy now than i’ve the new map. Spiders love her as fuck.

But the more complicated was to select the male to couple with the jack herer, it was all about extrapolation and “millimeters nuancies” etc … i known the SPG only as a female cut and i’ve never saw any project of stabilization on it since over twos decades.

This is the new “bubblegum” segregation, very nice weed and so on, but totally outside the original ST#3 shape and weed. It’s a complete new one, except for the specific high injected in F3 which stay ultra-dominant in all specimens.

And this is the mendelian hybrid which have put my breeding plan in hell the whole 2018. Now i known how to drive this new car, in taking in count the dominant BB skeleton who want to come back in front of the scene.

Conclusion : i will engage a BX program (again) near identical to the original strategy. Sometimes, breeding is an infinite loop. The “SPG female” will be used as reference, and the new segregation as the reccurent donor to be diluted.

Not specially happy, i’ve to keep working and alive a very weak phenotype during one more year. At least to the BX3 damned. But yeah, it value the ride and from this point this line have finally my own touch. Incredible initial work and genetic resistance by the way, i’ve never know a single hybrid so handly on high pressure selections.

I’m preparing something to let people see what can give a SOG in term of yield, but also to share some strategic tricks and errors to avoid. With “ultra easy” mode under adversity (still infected by gnats and spider ^^) in mind.

60 clones to produce for this and my motherplants are not much gigantic atm. And in term of breeding it’s totally useless for the moment, i’ve not yet the first F1 to test. I will fill the bottles with twos jack herer specimens, to make the advantage of the method much more obvious for those which have hard time to believe SOG ratios / sqm.

I will make a specialized post for it, but in one shot. No grow log with updates etc…
I’ve the hybrid to make and the last steps are always very demanding, i don’t specially want to share the last steps also to be 200% frank. You will understand why in seeing the first F1 at the end of 2020.

see ya around

I have seen some amazing results from 2l pop bottle sogs in the past.
Looking forward to see what you can pull with that.

Are you going to use HPS or LED ?

This SOG will be drived under neons, 560 real watts (4250W theorical) / 44 (tent). The GHE table is one square meter. I’m expecting a solid half kilogrammer as minimum, a bit over one if i’ve not too much losted the hand lol

It will be challenging, i generally fill entirely the tent without any table to optimize the yield. But i’m too old now for that.

I will take a shot later to show the correct choice for a 4*4 tent, but more intensive in term of hand watering.

Here we go, before i enter again in the submarine ^^

A 4x4 handle more than i was expecting, over 100 specimens. Actually 1111 (121), maximum 1212 (144).
It’s better to stay at 100 specimens / 4*4 imho to keep a decent space between the tent’s walls and the plants. For datas it’s pretty cool also, natural percentage.

If you’re young and full of energy, experienced or not, this is the way to do it for your very first time. I’m very serious. Doing it in a GHE table is wasting yield as hell, let it for washed old growers with back destroyed.

Why it’s intensive ? Because the twos liters of medium is pretty fast to dry, specially in plain flowering time. Depend on the strain used but it can be as quick than only 24 hours. Add to it than at least one time per week, you should clean the space and the plants. Impossible to do it without “to empty” the tent totally, too dense. But the promise of the easy big harvest is too sexy to don’t be experienced at least one time in your life of grower if you’re enough young and full of motivation. With the GHE table, i will do my best to expose the concept and its potential. With grammers, ratios etc … it’s time to debunk all the funk around the SOG. Never-ending loop lol

Now, if you can’t wait to experience it, let’s share a trick to best manage the hand watering without being a slave or to transform the tent in a lake.

Behind the bottle, just place another one cutted to be able to handle 500ml of solution/water/wathever you give. The half liter is important.

That’s the “working bottle”, where the root mass will make its magic. Try to cut at 2liters (not more, important, but not less like the picture).Drill holes in corners, i personnally cut the corner with a cutter to have holes of around 1 centimeter.

Then, cut a second bottle to be able to handle an half liter of water. Place the “working bottle” on it. Each time you hand water, the drain will go down to the second bottle and the roots will colonize it. It will learn you how to water well your cannabis also … more than 500ml drain on 2L : over watered, reduce the stock on bottom to let a little space of air between the bottle #1 and the water of the bottle #2. Never let sit the plant on water.

Don’t over-do it then, until three weeks of flowering time it’s pretty slow to dry the “carrots of medium”. After that … well it’s the daily hell lol

Algea : you will not avoid it in this configuration. But you can reduce drastically it in increasing the opacity of the bottle or directly, using a bottle which don’t let the light enter. Remember than algea are very hungry for O², and O² is something like a “yield activator” for your plants.

It was the little teasing for the more brave of you, i’ve to wait a couple of months before starting the table …
all the best for your crop !

I’ve realized afterward than my explanations on the bottles was shitty as fck … i’ve take pics. Better than 1000 words.

STEP 1 : Cut the bottle on top, it’s important for later to keep the maximum height you can. But let enough space for maintenance (cleaning) and access (transplant).

STEP 2 : Cut the bottom of the bottle to make drain. This kind of “bottom” is perfect for drains, the center is more “up” and let flow the water on sides.

STEP 3 : Cut another bottle to make the “tank” of the individual system. Fill the bottle with an half liter of water, do a mark of the level with a pen and cut on the mark.

Warning : i was forced to cut very short because the bottle are not compliant with this system. Too fancy “mold” with ergonomics. Take one straight for “no ebb&flow” system, less headache. If you have no choice, warm the “tank” gently with fire then push the main bottle on it.

STEP 4 : Place the main bottle on the “tank”, plant your seeds or clones

Note : this is the real height of the system, around 40 centimeter height all included. Again, these datas are important and borned from a lot of practice on gigantic selections. Remember these golden datas :

  • main bottle of 2 liters
  • tank of an half liter
  • maximum height of an half meter, all included
  • minimum height of the main bottle : 30 centimeters
  • a common tank is possible, but you don’t win so much in return if you don’t make a bubbler below. Individuals systems are far better and safer, not only for large selections but for pure yield also.

How it look with the right heights :

Update : I will finally use the SOG table with rejected JH females on a male extraction, from seeds then. I just can’t make a “blank” session with clones in my breeding plan, so i will adapt the tutorial for the context. The good thing is than it will be a dual documentation : dense SOG + SOG from seeds.

Update 2 : how it look like
