No worries on that, I follow all directions… when 33 staples were removed last Wed, they told me 2wks… take off what’s not fallen off and swim away… gives me almost 5wks of swimming before next surgery already scheduled for October 14th

Hurts a little but not bad for 18 days out and off pain meds

My uncle sent me a picture of his last xray. He’s struggling a bit with pain still but I don’t think he’s doing his physiotherapy properly and reckon he’s relying a little much on opiates. I’ve offered him free cannabis till he’s better but refuses as he sees it as an illegal drug  OK you carry on with your pain meds that will eventually lead to you needing methadone to get you off them

I’ve been thru addiction when I had my 3 back surgeries…
For my hip a month ago today…
I got 1 script of 40 Percocet 7.5 and was done… 1st week was painful but I’m walking with a cane, driving and swimming as much as possible… October 14th I get 2nd hip done, so I gotta get new hip strong…
His Dr needs to cut him off…
Ask him if he’s doing his buttock pinches… sounds funny, but 60 a day in reps of 15, big difference in hip strength…
P.S. I’ll take his free weed…
LMAO

Your Uncle is still way out of alignment. I hope they have him wearing a shoe lift in his right shoe as it looks like it’s a little bit shorter. Mine was until I got the other side done. My pain went away soon after surgery, for sure worth it.

Hip #2 … 2wks after staples were removed and butterfly strips come off… now I can swim… next day Hurricane moved in … hahaha.
And no laughing at stretch marks, you try being almost 60… lol

30 Staples this time for a total of 63, year I was born… wtf. lol

His mobility has massively increased over these past few weeks and his pain levels are a lot easier to cope with now. He feels confident that once the uk winter subsides that he’ll be able to ride his motorcycle again.

Funny you should notice that. He has one leg shorter than the other and as a child he had to wear a built up shoe to compensate for it. :v:

Yeah, only reason I did was because mine was off after just replacing the one.

Now that both are done, I’m partially walking with no assistance now… Looking forward to a nice Thanksgiving. Dr told me to give it a year and I kinda laughed. Found out he’s right, legs are weakened, arms too… time to rebuild the monster… aaarrrgghhhhhhh… hahaha.

Update: Awesome. I’m walking the hood now with my wife and dog. Using a walker right now for balance… Dr was right about taking my time. I can feel how stiff my hips are right after a walk. stretching in the am… and still doing buttock pinches and exercises… maintaining my 60lb weight loss but not losing more atm… after all, the holidays comes with pie and cookies… lol. back to very serious weight loss after the new year. 2023 is going to be the year I take back my life.

Thank you to all for your uplifting kind words… Cman

Thanks Bro… went to Dr appt today for pain pump refill, did all my running around and never brought my cane out of the car. I walked it… Trip #1 woot woot.

2 nights ago we went to a small Christmas party few doors down, I made it almost 2hrs on their hard chairs and had a blast. These are not your ordinary run of the mill old farts… oh, I live in a 55+ park… nope, they parteeeeee and drink and foul mouth ba_)turds… hehe. we had a blast…

As hips heal I’ll push myself further… not sure if the heater is broken, but that pool is not heated… and not seen anyone in it. cheap turds.

Thanks again… onward

Ever feel like you were kicked in the privates…

After getting my hips replaced, the chronic pain went away and then I began noticing other pains that had been masked. I kept having issues with my left arm and I thought it was a bone spur in my shoulder. Now I have discovered it’s much worse. Swollen Lymphnodes under both armpits and pain to elbows and on n on with symptoms… The concern my primary had has made me a bit of a wreck… Jan 27 I go for a cancer screening for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Killed my uncle Donald a few year back…

So, if I’m not around as much you know it’s me in a mental battle until I figure out just how worried I should be… until then. grrrrrrr.
