Fun with hole diggin

That’s freaking awesome bro! I have a buddy that uses living soil indoor, and it is the best tasting stuff I have ever smoked. I think you will wish you found it sooner!

Of course, the dry and cure has alot to do with it as well.

I think we will be sharing our experiences for some years now.

OK, so since I’ve gotten into all this “weird”, organic stuff more, I’m gonna try to go all the way. Popcorn tea, here we go. This is what I found at the local farm store. I thought it would an extremely interesting find to use for a cannabis booster. Non gmo, Amish, and variety 8s the spice of life, right? I also got a net over the bigger ladies today, but I forgot pictures. I pray for a nice, even canopy.

Boy your treating your ladies to the good stuff eh? My girls get the cheap Jolly time popcorn at ~$2 a bag lol

It was the closest place, and I didn’t feel like going near Walmart. I think everyone should wear a mask, but I’m not big on being told I have to wear a mask. Call me weird, but i like the constitution.

Have u guys ever heard of wheat straw juice???

What it is is mycilogist boil scissor cut straw from a straw bale fill a big pot with it fill with water and let simmer all day. The water will turn black which means it’s done and full of nutrients… people who do grain to grain transfers for mushroom growing us this straw tea to soak the grain for maximum mycelium growth. Why not use on pot

I’ll have to look that up man. I don’t know why not?

I gave a good top dress, and then the popcorn tea. I finished off with a nice deep watering. They were barely clearing the net 2 days ago, I was amazed especially at the kick flip. I’m still training them back a bit to let the shorter stalks catch up.

Looking great @Badger!

Nice critter fence, great sight lines and your girls look very happy.
All the horizontals of the wood fence are on your side so anybody climbing over that is going to have to work at it! Nice low profile outdoor grow.

Not sure how the water would be but I know it’s dirtier than fuck … I’d do something similar when getting my mushroom substrate ready to inoculate with some grain spawn. Or are you looking more at the cleaner straw as being the useful part?

I known simple minerals added to substrate can have positive effects in mushroom production, another simple ingredient to increase mycelia mass also IIRCC IS simple corn meal

Thanks man, I appreciate that. The critter fence keeps the dogs out for sure. I’m just hoping and praying that with the net training, I can keep them just below the fence line after the stretch. Do you have any idea when I need to stop training? When they start to stretch?

Hey @Badger you can start tucking those branches in the open area just like an outdoor scrog It will keep your plant profiles a bit shorter as well

Assuming you are going SCROG you will be kept busy tucking and weaving until the stretch is over, then it’s pilsner time! :+1: :sunglasses:
That will keep them ‘net high’ and you have mostly nugs above the net

Cheers

I’ve been tucking and planned to keep it up, but won’t my colas be shorter if I tuck until the stretch is over?
Yeah, pretty much was wanting scrog style. This should allow the other colas to catch up. I already trimmed out the larf.

Yeah man I meant the stalks of good fresh straw bale. I just take handfuls and cut them into one or two inch pieces until the pot is full you gotta put a weight or something on top of the straw to hold it down. Boil it for a while and it turns a clean black
