Gage Green Group Grapes Seed Pack 🍇 – Documentation & Honest Update

Less than a year ago, during the Gage Green Group archive drop, I went harder on the Grapes than I’ve ever gone on any line before.

I’ve bought a lot of different GGG packs over time, but with the Grapes, I went deep — multiple packs, more than any other strain by far. I knew this drop was my chance to really dig into this lineage, so I stacked up heavy.

From the start, I said I would document everything honestly, and that’s what this thread is about: a running record of exactly what’s coming out of these packs, no sugarcoating, no hype — just the truth.

⸻

Females – The Range of Expressions

The females have been a real mix, which is exactly what you expect when going through big numbers:

• The winners are incredible.

• Some phenos have insane grape terps, layered candy sweetness, deep complexity, and knockout bag appeal.

• The top-tier plants bring dense, frosty structure, perfect coloring, and that magic you can’t fake.

• A lot of “good but not great.”

• Plenty of plants are fine overall — they grow and smoke well — but don’t have that extra spark to be considered keepers.

When you do find a female winner, it’s so good that it makes all the middle-of-the-road phenos worth hunting through.

⸻

Males – Pistil Herms

This is where it gets interesting.

So far, every male I’ve run has hermed, and not in the typical way most growers think.

• When these males herm, they throw actual pistils.

• They do make nanners too, but the defining herm trait here is the pistil itself.

• It’s very obvious and easy to spot if you know what you’re looking for.

For me, this is important because I want a stable male before I consider line-breeding the Grapes.

• I can move forward with breeding — crossing these females to other proven males —

• But I can’t do true line-breeding within the Grapes without a clean, stable male that doesn’t throw pistils.

That means the hunt continues. I’m not discouraged at all — if anything, this motivates me to keep digging. The more I see, the more I understand this line, and the better the end result will be when that perfect male shows up.

⸻

Why I’m Dedicated to This Project

When I spent all of my Bitcoin at the time — to grab these packs, it wasn’t out of impulse.

• I saw the potential in these Grapes and wanted to secure enough stock to truly explore the full genetic range.

• The female winners have already proven I was right to go in heavy.

• Now it’s just a matter of time and patience to find the right male and open up the F2 generation.

The way I see it, there’s no reason to be frustrated about life.

If there’s something I can do about a problem, I’ll do it.

If there isn’t, I’ll let it go.

This hunt gives me motivation — it’s fuel, not stress.

⸻

This Thread – For the Record

This thread is here to document everything transparently for anyone interested in these genetics:

• Photos, notes, and updates will be added as I go.

• Both the fire and the flaws will be shown here.

• This is about truth, not hype.

If there’s greatness in this line — and I believe there is — we’ll reveal it together over time.

The hunt is still young, and I’m not stopping until the right male is found. This is a long game, and I’m here for it.

I’ve read about males responding like that but haven’t seen them myself.
I recall there was some question if they were males at all, the speculation being they might be ethylene deficient females. I guess the ultimate answer to that question would be a M/F genetic sex test (that wasn’t available at the time). I think D J Short had some input on this subject.

You’re working a line that’s interesting and rare, congratulations!
I look forward to seeing your results.

Cheers

This was the latest male that hermed & the frostiest one too. I noticed if a male can be reveged and not herm then it won’t herm. It’ll herm in the Reveg if it will herm. & it’s obvious that it’s a male that’s herming because there would be all balls and just a few pistols . Another line that did this is my Grape Mayweather f1. There wernt any herming females in that line at all either only herming males. Tho it’s easier to find a stable male in Grape Mayweather than in GGGGrapes. It’s similar genetics too. Maybe it’s something in Grape Stomper offspring

This is the makeup of Grape Mayweather F1:

What is grapes anyway? It’s grape stomper × ?

I have a collection of stomper genetics, and a grape stomper cut, lots of crosses. I did a big pollination of the grape stomper with a couple of grape freezer males, the female is the most grape candy weed I’ve ever had, the males were more Chem funk with grape accent.

The postal service is down here in Canada, but if you’re interested I’ll send you some of the seed when we’re back to having mail again  lol

I really like grape stomper, its a fantastic cross. I wish I could get the purple elephant hashplant, if it even really exists lol
