Garage Gas 3.0 (Build-A-Soil promo pack)

I started this strain 3 weeks ago. I used recycled soil that I amended, but it wasn’t amended enough so growth was slow and questionable for the first two weeks until I caught it and transplanted it to save it, so better a late diary than no diary.

This is Garage Gas 3.0 from Living Soil Seeds which was given away to Build-A-Soil’s Patreon subscribers a few weeks ago.

So far it’s tiny with really small internodal distance (about 4 nodes), and just starting week 4 (so just over 3 weeks old).

I would recommend reading the strain link above for this weird project.

Right now it is transplanted into a 2-gallon plastic pot, with a custom organic soil recipe consisting of peat, EWC, pumice (or did I use perlite this time? …Yeah, perlite instead of pumice it looks like. Even though I hate how harmful and not as effective the stuff is, I ran out of the good stuff), and various dry amendments such as fulvic acid, alfalfa meal, neem meal, and kelp meal – my usual mix for the most part.

Cool, I’ve got a pack of these that I won’t be able to start right away, so I look forward to following your progress!

Did you plant just the one seed? Mine weren’t labeled as reg/fem, so I assumed they were regs based on all the Patreon info… but maybe I assumed wrong?

I only planted one and gave the rest to my friend because I have too many seeds. They should be regular seeds. If it’s not a female, no worries.

I topped it today. It’s almost done with its 3rd week of vegetation:

It turned out to be a male. I started flowering it about a week ago in my first ever attempt to collect pollen. I bent it over a tray lined with foil covered with a screen mesh yesterday No idea how much longer until it’ll drop. Any pros here want to fill me in given what it looks like? @TricycleOfDoom ?

Good morning.

I’ve only tried catching pollen once so far. But my guess some could start opening in the next 12 to 24 hours.

Awesome, thanks. I’m surprised how fast these males form their parts. Looks filled with anthers and there weren’t any last week.

She started dropped anthers yesterday. Collected a bunch today on the screen with foil underneath and placed in a paper bag to open up and dry more. I only need a little bit… prob will let it drop for 1 more week… then I have a deep cleaning to do and another male plant to put in the flower tent to do the same.
