Gauge Green Group / Genetic Designer Archive Project

What’s up Overgrow fam —

This thread’s for something I never thought I’d be able to do in my lifetime.

A couple months back, Gauge Green Group put up a short-lived archive drop on their site. $50 packs. No announcement, no big blast — just there and gone. And these weren’t leftovers — these were the actual archive packs. The same lines that used to go for $2K, even $8K in some cases, and only ever seen in private collections.

I don’t usually move like this, but I knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime shot. I dropped everything I had saved in Bitcoin and went all in. Ended up grabbing over 80 packs — and I don’t say that to brag, I say it because I’m not here to hoard. I’m here to grow through them all.

Gauge Green Group has been behind so much of the modern scene it’s wild. Mendo Breath wasn’t part of this drop, but it’s a perfect example — one of their creations that ended up in everything. Their work is in the bones of the industry whether folks realize it or not.

So I’m dedicating this project to running these packs: Popping the seeds, sort the phenos, & document it —

Like I did with my Dessert Delight thread, I’ll share the true winners that earn places in the Purple Flamethrower lineup — cultivars that I believe deserve a future on the global stage.

This is for the preservationists, the hunters, the ones who love digging through deep gene pools just to see what’s there. I don’t think anybody’s had this chance at this scale with GGG’s old stock before — not without breaking the bank or chasing unicorns.

So here it is.

The GGG Genetic Designer Archive Project.

A blessing I almost missed — but one I’m damn sure not wasting.

More soon.

have never bought a package from them, but I visited the site every now and then.
Prices too excessive.
I can understand a masterpiece variety, the importance of a historical cross.
But try to think if expensive seed packages suddenly cost 10 dollars, would they have so much hype? or so much prestige? I really don’t think so. The price makes the prestige of a seed package. Even the family tree plays its part. However, it must also be said that the American Seeds Banks inflate the prices a bit too much.
