GC flowers Cap Junky and Chem 91

I was having issues, turns out my 9 month old ph meter was off. I could watch it drift up while sitting in calibration solution, even after a new probe was installed. Wanted a quick fix so I ordered another… had next day.

HM Digital so far is on the ball with customer service. Contacted via website, they called. Emailed me a paid label and return authorization.

It’s been getting cooler at night here, I’m looking to take advantage of it. Bring some more color out of these cap junky’s. One is resisting but I expect it to also.

Around day 42… I’m going to take a bit earlier this run so I have it ready for Xmas gifts.

Got my fingers crossed for you too! :crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3: btw Awesome on acquiring Stoney’s diesel! I love it, one of the few diesels I want I’ve yet to acquire. Can’t wait to see you grow them out.

Not his Diesel, his Staten Island Chem.

I may end up with one or two in with my 91 after the CJ finishes in the 4x4. See how well the 91 roots this round…

I’m a bit late with an update, my apologies.

To the testers I gave beans to, keep an eye on intersex issues once your flowering please.

The ph meter issue screwed me up a bit this run, it was off near two points! HM Digital has been great with a warranty claim, I have a new one enroute. I’ll store that long term and see how long the replacement I bought lasts.

The ph issues caused woody stems in the newer cuts I was gifted, so I’m letting them grow taller than I would normally. I typically would have trellised and flipped by now. I’m trying to get some new branching that’s softer and more pliable. Then take cuts and chop what’s left down low, wait a week and flip. That’s the plan today anyway…

Two T1000 on the left, Tropicanna Cherry right rear, with Rudeboi right front. NOT my best work.

They are bouncing back, I’m thinking I’d love a pair of Bluelab Guardians $$ to monitor the reservoirs.

The 4x4 full of Cap Junky is at day 61 or so, I’ll start watching trichs soon and will take in the next 10 days to two weeks for Xmas bud.

So prior to flip in the 4x4 I took clones, they didn’t make it through the ph pen failure… and I have no vegging mom… lesson learned. I’ll have to reveg as I’m not ready to move on from it.

Tonight I’ll fill the aero cloner and get ph stable before taking cuts tomorrow.

That brings us up to what do I put in the 4x4 next? Thinking two Chem 91 skva and two Staten Island Chem (stoney’s cut) s1 to do a comparison run?

There’s a few others I’m considering too. Platinum City Runtz x Cap Junky from @LoveDaAutos or maybe GG4 x Apple Fritter also from LDA. RIL from @Tonygreen ( hard one to keep out of rotation) or possibly something else I can find in fem form. I have lots of other choices in regs but just don’t have the room at current.

Choices… choices.

Bit more history behind me and my infatuation with the Chemdog. So iv been in touch with a dude I interacted with on another forum a few years ago. He’s the guy that I first saw running Guerilla Fume from Lucky Dog. I’m sure some of you Fume fans would recognize his pics. It was through him I found out that SkunkVA now had his seed biz up and running… and directed me to shoe to aquire them. So part of my obsession with Chemdog and Lucky Dog seeds are a direct result of his meddling…

Anyway, he’s been lurking here and seems to dig the vibes. Now that he’s completed a move to a legal state he has just recently popped some beans. A few being the Chem 91 s1’s currently in testing. When he’s ready I’ll let him introduce himself, he’s a good guy and talented grower. Welcome dude…

There was a few other things I wanted to mention, but my daughter came home from Jamaica last night and we have hit the jars early today. So… I forget wth it was.

Hope everybody is having a good day, stay safe… it’s a fucked up world were living in these days.

Man, I hate for my poor grow, with all its stresses to be the reason you have to make that warning. I feel bad about it. The good thing is that every male flower has been on the lower half and fairly easy to spot. Maybe coincidence, but they mostly only appear on nodes where I have removed everything.

Actually, that’s not quite true. But definitely only nodes where the fans have been removed.

Don’t feel that way! I certainly did not intend to make ya feel bad.

Remember. Chemdog came from bagseed to begin with. Intersex issues are a must to watch out for.

Thank You for testing, we learned something. Light sensitivity most likely.

Yep, most likely.

Wow. This strain is called cap junky? I think this is definitely going on the most wanted list

Really cool back story back story btw!

It is, it’s a collaboration from capulator and seed junky.

Alien cookies x kush mints #11

Keep an eye out you may stumble on some s1’s, or offer up a trade in the trade thread.

Good luck… it’s a nice strain in my opinion, but I have no prior cookie experience.

I will definitely be keeping an eye out. Really digging the thread man.

@GCBudz spent all morning rereading this thread and throwing down some likes where they are deserved :love_you_gesture:t2:

Couldnt have said it any better man, what the hell did i get myself into!?!? :joy:

Thanks for the warm welcome, @GCBudz! A man of integrity, rare in this world. My kind of people.

I think your idea of a head to head of Chem 91 & Staten Island Chem is fantastic. Have never seen the Staten Chem grown nor smoked it, would love to see how she compares to the Queen.

There he is… glad you popped in. Welcome to Overgrow.

I am leaning towards the SIC just for a true and accurate comparison to the 91… or Queen as you described her.

Eventually I want to revisit hitting the 91 with pollen from a Fume male. I hate that my last attempt failed, appreciate @DefNSmokn hooking me up. Eventually get the 91 reg seed project back on. I have some Fume F2’s in fridge yet.

I ordered up 4 more 3.9 gallon autopot containers, this will help me with a quicker turn around between runs. I can put seeds or clones directly into their final pots. Making uppotting and awaiting roots to hit bottom/reservoir much quicker process.

CJ91 #1 and #2, about 11 days into flower. Structure almost like an OG Kush clone: viney/stretchy branches, long internodes, mostly only 5 finger fan leaf. Got a dank look to it for sure.

And #3 and #4 in the front, a couple weeks behind, and havent started flowering yet. Gives a good view of how much they stretch in the first couple weeks of flower! (These two are at the end of a long, hard day under the lights, hence the droopiness. Theyre much more perky usually)

In an effort to test 4 plants for you instead of my usual 2, I haven’t been able to give these the attention and light/space that i would usually. As you can see, they’re not as well trained or defoliated as i’d usually do. Apologies.

No need for apologies. Your plants always look well grown.

I’m seeing the CJ stretch a tad more than the 91 at times, especially when ya leave a few dominant branches and not top to a level canopy.

Free pack of 5 beans of Cap Junky x Chem 91 fem’s to the first 3 US/CAN to DM ME with correct answer… then posts they did so. Read that again…

Name both of the two guys who sold the “magic 13” which led to the discovery of Chem 91.

Good Luck…
