GC flowers Cap Junky and Chem 91

Huh, is there a reason you don’t trust it?

I use the PPFD meter app as well

It seems to me, each time I go to check the values I get differing results. Nothing changes with light height… intensity or plant height and I get vastly differing values/measurements.

I have an android, it has an option to calibrate. I’m tech stupid… honestly.

This seemed to be the better option. I don’t mind spending the money to be confident in what’s going on. Make sense?

Also, on the app I just recently noticed the dli and lux options… is this new and auto updated on my phone? I had never noticed it before… lol, told ya I was not tech savvy.

Huh! That totally makes sense… I get readings, for example, between 885 and 930 depending upon where I point the lens… I had assumed that there are darker regions between the led’s and readings can be higher if pointing directly into an led or a few. Cool! I thought maybe there was some hidden data transference or something of that nature

The app is reading right around 600 ppfd @15" at 100% on the new Mars Hydro FC3000 evo 301h. According to this I should be 1100 ppfd or better… as I understand it.

Well like I said if you’re using android they claim it’s not accurate I know on my iPhone with the correct weight paper as a filter it is dead ass accurate like I said I tested it against the $600 meter the Hydro store my buddy owns

The Aray1 arrived, couldn’t help myself but to throw it in. Seems to be a nice piece, the driver will most likely get mounted to the outside of cabinet… but that may not need to happen till spring. I’ll most likely order a second to replace my last t5.

I also hung my two HLG 100 Rspecs’s over the spare autopots with the upcoming run.

The lux meter is due today as well, that will give me something to do tonight.

Happy New Year! If your out tonight, be smart. I haven’t had a beer this year, but I think I’ll have a few tonight.

That Aray1 looks great! I see one in my future, as well. The HLG setup looking great, too.

Happy New Year!

I’m happy with it so far.

I’m awaiting my oldest to buy another home after a divorce. I want to take my tool boxes, welder, press, etc over to his garage. Then put a 4x2 to house the next runs or flower moms. I’m tossing alot of plants…

That’s 50% @16". I’ll be going up periodically over next 24 to 100% as the specs call for.

It says 60% for seedlings till 3 weeks, then 100% and 14".

Postman? We see him, amazon, UPS, and Fed Ex often here. I recycle alot of cardboard.

That’s awesome man, almost like a sign of some sort…

I remember when I heard the first SkunkVA potcast (still my favorite one) he was talking about how the 91 would be acting up and Staton Island/Gabby who is very scientifically or nuts and bolts minded, would say something with the stars is off and it’s causing it. He touched on how the plant had a way of finding its way out of bad situations and impossible odds to find its way back to people. The story of how it made its way back to Greg was one example.

That’s pretty much what I think to myself on the 91, If I’m meant to have it, it will find its way to me.

Happy New Year btw!

I like to think that it was fate I got her, stars certainly aligned. Ending up back in Montana, driving past his place, having a nice memorable chat and getting some legit bud. Never thought I’d actually end up with her… my first crush…

So, in the end she made her way to me before I found my way to her via FarmerJoe. Just took me 1.5 years to break that bud down and realize it.

Thanks for mentioning Gabby, I still haven’t listened to that podcast with him yet. Be a good night to do so…

Hey bud! Out of likes catching up in your thread. Not sure how I’ve missed it the past few weeks. While the hlg 100s don’t have dimmers, you can still manually dim them with a screwdriver on the lights driver. You can pick up an Amp reader Poniie PN1500 Portable Micro Electricity Usage Monitor Electrical Power Consumption Watt Meter Voltage Amp Tester (110V, 1500W)) https://a.co/d/66VyS6G and then adjust the power of the light. That’s what I do with my rspecs as I adjust them every grow from veg to flower. Learned that trick from another member. It’s helpful with these lights that don’t have dimmers!

Good to see you flowering out those clones! I’m curious to hear your thoughts when you smoke them. I have been meaning to do a smoke report on the tropicanna cherries. It’s really flavorful smoke with a nice mellow high, just wish it lasted longer! Yields great too.

Hey bro, thanks for that! I was unaware…

I need to aoplogise for that current run, I’m not doing any justice to those plants! Worst run I have ever had I think. I was not prepping new growpito properly to start with, then using a defective ph meter till I figured it out. It was too late. I have buds, but fans look terrible. I’ll pull them soon and put in its replacements, which I hope to redeem myself with.

Thanks @Greasy for the cuts, sorry I failed the first run however. I’ll do better… cause this shit is embarrassing!

@GCBudz - Awesome thread. I currently have some cap junky s1 running in autopots. Were you able to get it all sorted? If not Im happy to help out.

Hey @Ris thanks for stopping in.

The issue as best I know is/was the initial charging of the growpito. This current run, that’s having issue is the 4 extra autopot containers I bought to have a next round ready for the tents. Plants that established and ready to feed off the reservoir. Trying to cut down the time between runs.

@ifish is a big help with advice backchannel to get me back on track. I’m appreciative.

The CJ is a nice plant, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them.

Ris, what medium are you running in your autopots, which nutes?

Happy New Year!

Excited to see what 2024 will bring to your garden =)

The Chem 91 s1’s you sent are almost ready to flower! My initial new setup is still rudimentary, at best, but I’m ready to smell some Chemdog flowers. Will be sharing the progress with you here, of course.

What’s on your list for 2024, @GCBudz?
