GC flowers Cap Junky and Chem 91

Happy New Year @HydroOrganicFla hope your upcoming year is a good one in your new home!

New for 24? I’m hoping to become a better grower, learn to read plants better. Dial in my space and new equipment. Hopefully my state goes legal with home grow…

I have cap junky coming back, possibly a TK cut as well. Recently got Mac1 from a generous OG member. T1000 and Trop Cherry are hete for one more round to evaluate after a better run. I culled the Rudeboi OG last night from the mom collection. Currently 4 moms… 91, T1000, TC and Mac1.

Made my first order at CSI for the 5150 TK x Geisel.

I’d like to pop the bagseed I got from SkunkVA, 2x Headband and the single Chem 91. See if lightning strikes!

I’d also like a shutdown for a short bit for some camping, maybe a short family vacation somewhere.

How about y’all?

Did you get a chance to smoke test any of those clones before culling anyone? No stress on the culling, I just thought based on your looking for a lighter strain that could be smoked in the daytime the Rudeboi OG would be right up your alley. It’s my go to wake and bake strain on the weekends. I think it has a lot more staying power than the Tropicana Cherries, which I feel like I need to smoke again after 45 minutes.

That sounds like a winner! I really like Giesel, and recently got her myself. Bet you’ll get more seeds than you can ever grow buying direct!

I pulled it out of the box and checked that it works. Learned how to read what it’s telling me and the ranges I should be in during the stages of growth.

Tonight I’ll be lowering the 600 Rspec in 4x4 to bring the reading towards the higher end of veg. The plants in this tent won’t be equal in height, the 91 is much more stretchy than the Staten Island which wants to stay squat and thick. I got in that tent last night and thinned some out. I’ll top the 91 again, the trellis is in on back half over them. SIC won’t have support as I don’t believe it’ll need any. This will allow me to get in tent between SIC in front half and adjust the light height much easier than from a step ladder outside. My chubby ass wants to fall on top of canopy in that scenario.

Guess I’ll post lux readings along with hanging height and temps from here forward.

I haven’t harvested any of those yet, getting close however. Again, I didn’t do them justice so I want to run a second round.

I culled the Rudeboi because I needed to cull something. There’s plenty of nice OG’s out there I can try… and I’d like to try more of them.

Yeah, if the TC doesn’t do it for me I’ll be fine. Try something else. To be honest, once I started reading up on those strains the T1000 is the one that stuck out. I have passed her along as well.

I have the TC s1’s now, I could pop a single bean to get a bit of daytime if needed without keeping a mom. But it all depends on how we like it.

Iv been wanting to aquire more sativa strains as my daughter likes them for daytime. She tolerates them much better than I. A buddy is putting a care package together from his vast collection with her in mind. Once I’m gone she calls the shots what stays and gets run. Hopefully that won’t be for some time yet.

We are discussing the round after the 91 and SIC. Think it’s going to be 2x cjx91 and a yet to be determined.

I have some T1000/Old Family Purple vegging rn! I am curious… why did you pass her along?

Passed her along as in gifted her… not culled.

I believe I have some mislabeled plants in that run. I did have a helper so it’s entirely possible.

Aha! Thanks for clarifying, I can’t wait to run her, she grows like a charm

The 4x4 is going to be flipped in am, lowered the trellis just a tad more and laid over some of the taller shoots on the Chem 91 in rear.

Here are the two SIC, short bushy plants that iv pulled alot of fans on already, and is still thick. The branching is is hard and rigid, for that reason I didn’t put trellis over her. Makes it easier to pull in the event I want to get in to the 91.

Using my new LUX meter I find I’m in the 35k range, maybe bit low but I’ll creep up as we get into flower.

Everything was hit with Johnny’s one and done the other day. My next jug I’ll mix a little weaker. I’m at max suggested around 2oz? Per gallon. They don’t like it for a few days…

Pulled samples from the 3x3 yesterday on day 58. Hoping to pull on 65. Get the next round in. It’s become obvious my daughter and I had a mishap labeling as they came from the packed cloner. Won’t make that screwup again.

And my first CSI order came in. Y’all were right about Caleb hooking you up with direct… damn, I only bought the 5150 x Geisel. Generous dude…

I usually don’t fix scrog net till end off w3 if just using for lst and support

While I do tuck a few branches it mostly for support and moving the tops where I want them. The trellis level is my gauge… where I want all my branching to reach and to support those big beautiful Chemdog budz.

You had asked me for a recommendation for a USB microscope. This is the one I use and it’s worked great for the almost 3 years I’ve had it. I think mine cost me $29.99 so thank you Covid for the price increase.

Around 63… I did see some amber but not much. The next round has hit trellis height so their near ready to flip.

Be good to get this embarrassing run out of the way and in the rear view.

No reason to be embarrassed! At least you’ll still get some nice nugs out it! :muscle:

Point taken…

These were a gift from @Greasy and it took him considerable effort on his part to get them to me. He went above and beyond for me, I really wanted the Trop Cherry after seeing Flower Power’s run over at ICmag…

Anyway, after all that I had issues… to put it mildly. Mites, medium/ph issues… then an obvious mislabeled somehow. @LoveDaAutos wants to blame my helper… but I’m not that mean. I’ll take the heat for it. LDA…

The full tent pic for example, those to the left are labeled T1000, their obviously Tropicanna Cherry. Right rear labeled Rudeboi and right front labeled Tropicanna Cherry. The two on right are also… the same fucking plant. I THINK they are rudeboi but I’m not sure.

Now, I’m not sure how I labeled the moms… I took them from the tent before flip. So other than the TC I’m not sure what’s what.

Having to admit this is the embarrassing part. But it’s all good… it’s the weed itself causing the screwups… so it must be good right?!

Yeah I’m stoned on a sample of the unknown right now…
