So you guys are suggesting supplemental teas?

I do have these… been so damn busy that I haven’t gotten to it yet.

Do I brew and dump into my reservoirs?

Do I shut the res off, allow the autopot trays to empty and fill the trays to bottomfeed?

Nope. Just LAB. You can make your own enzymes too…much cheaper than buying them. I don’t use enzymes because I don’t use organics, and have never seen any benefits from them, but its possible to make them cheaply

You can do both. I run that line. Brew 24 hrs at a high airflow and feed. Or just top dress. I’ve also just mixed it into water and drenched. Never a problem, love the stuff. Great results with the seabird guano too.

@herojuana.tom thanks but that looks like more work that my old bones and back want to tackle. I use MegaCrop because it’s “simple stupid”… and exactly what i need. But you see the issue i’m having with sludge, so it’s gotta go after these current runs.

I’m considering Jacks, and the Canna line that @ifish @douggyfresh420 and others have mentioned recently.

Being honest, i havent developed the skills to read plants and cirrect at this point. I’m working on it but i find it tough to learn from reading… i’m a hands on guy… except electricity. Fuck electricity…

@MyLittleGrundle i think what i’ll do is turn the valves off maybe a few hours into lights on. Let the growpito lighten up and then top feed just before lights on again. Few hours later turn my valve to res back on. Easiest and most direct way i can figure without any issue with the tea and aquavalves.

Sounds like a solid plan. I like top dressing them myself. I’m sure your aware but in case not it’ll take an about 4-5 days before that feet is inoculated and available to the plants.
Things are always looking on point sir.

I hear that! Hypochlorous is the easiest ticket to a crystal clear rez, and fights off the baddies too.

Jacks is the most economical, I buy it in bulk. I am working through a 25 lb sack of 2-part mega crop and do see a dusty film buildup that is annoying but it hasn’t bothered me too much. Yet.:v:

Me too
If you can run different feeds
Run 1/2 the setup what your doing now then the other 1/2 on the jacks

As far as reading the plant it’s far better to stay ahead of the issue the wait till you see then start

Best wishes
Your get some great advice

All the cannabis fertilizers are a gimmick. So are most of the bud boosters and such. Once you learn the nutrients you can buy them at 1/10th of the cost. It just takes some effort to learn.

What I got from watching Bruce Bugbees lectures was to have 6.5 pH in soil or hydro. Toss up the pH a bit and you should be good.

It takes long time. Forever when I grew outside I was trying to figure x deficiencies. The i finally fucking figured out it was because the roots were getting hot screwing up the plants. The ground stays 50-55 year round…I’ve found usually people
Screw up, like myself from pushing them too hard. Too much light causes herms, that is one thing I know
for sure. I’ve seen it time and time again. The best thing to do is start out low and work up.

@Ottafish interesting comments. So my last run Hermed on me. Where do you recommend running the lights. I assume you’re talking at beginning of 12s, less than 100% obviously. Roughly where at and for how long? Will this also help reduce the stretch?

Run them around 600 and bump up to around 800 starting after the flower. I bought a cheap thing that measures the ppfd off Amazon and you download an app on your phone.

I have no idea what that number would be. I am running a 600 W HLG blackbird.

if it has a dimmer 25%=150w, 50%=300w, 75%=450w , 100%=600w.

most led manufactures have info on their product page telling what to run the light at for seedling, veg, and flower.

i have an 800 watt led. just finished my first ever grow with them. 25% for seedlings once in veg i started to increased to 50 % over 3 days. when flower started i turned it up to 65-70% that was all i needed for them to make great bud.

Ok. That makes sense. Doh! It was my first run with this light as well. So I turned it up to see what it would do. In hindsight, may be not necessary to run it at 100%. Now I know. Appreciate the advice from all of you. I should get a light meter as well. Don’t really want more apps.

That looks pretty sweet. I took this one down today.

I have a couple of things from @GCBudz which will probably start at the end of summer, early fall

I have the HLG rspec 300 and 650. During veg I’ll run it at half and 3/4 at flower. The sensor is cheap on Amazon. It measures the intensity of the light.
