Hello everyone, how’s it going?
I’m here in this thread to share my new cycle with you all.
There are 9 regular seeds of Sweet and Sour Cindy (BOG’s Sweet Cindy X Sour Bubble male) - f2 - @DougDawson preservation run 2023.
Thanks to @sorrisoverdenamao for this opportunity.
In this cycle, I want to share with you the stages and how I’m handling each moment of the cycle.
I hope to be helped and to help anyone who wants to virtually participate in this cycle with me. Thanks to everyone for the opportunity to share a bit of knowledge here.
Here’s a summary of the situation so far:
01/02/25 - 15:30 - placed in clay-filtered water, boiled and rested, with hydrogen peroxide.
02/02/25 - 12:00 - placed on cotton in a jar inside the cupboard.
20:00 - several already cracked with radicles coming out.
03/02/25 - 18:00 - moved from cotton to 500ml pots with Carolina soil.
In low LED light, watered with rainwater, starting 18h/6h cycle.
04/02/25 - 3 have sprouted from the soil.
05/02/25 - 6 have sprouted from the soil.
The soil is resting, this JLF JADAM has probably been decomposing for about 6 months now. With that, I’m increasing the biological life of my soil and letting nature do its work.
I can later share the soil measurements, but I confess I’ve been reusing it for a few years, just adding organic matter and taking care of the soil life, so it can take care of the plant’s life.
Preparing things here while the seeds say Hello to the world
Tks guys ! Lets Go

Hello everyone, I’ve been away due to family matters, but the grow is still going strong. Today, I’m taking a moment to share a few updates…
Out of the 9 seeds, I got 5 females and 4 males. I kept one male to collect pollen—the one with the best structure. I don’t have a photo of him, but he’s in a pot outdoors, just waiting for the pollen sacs to open so I can collect it.
I moved the 5 females into the tent, where I can have better control over the parameters.
So far, everything is going well. I had to deal with a stubborn pest on one of them for a few days, but I won that battle, haha. I’m trying to clone these girls, but due to limited space, it’s been a bit tricky. If anyone has any cloning tips, I’d really appreciate it!
I switched them to flowering on March 15th.

Looking good! Is that a 2’ x 2’ tent? If so I feel your pain with the lack of space. They do make lighted cloning chambers if you can spare a bit of additional closet space and an extension cord. Link to an example on Amazon below. I haven’t tried them…when I needed one I just glued some 24" fluorescent light fixtures to the cover of a 25 gallon Rubbermaid and threw the whole shooting match under my basement stairs. That worked really good.

To continue on my thoughts above, if you are really constrained on space the 25 gallon tote option might work better for you. I used that as a veg chamber too. When the clones were ready to transplant I just shifted them to a bunch of plastic Folgers cans and dumped them right back in the tote and let them do their thing until they started touching the lights. Then I just replaced the ripe ones in the flowering chamber with the babies that had been cooking in the tote.

Thank you for the tip, my friend. I didn’t know about those cloning boxes that already have the lights; very cool! Unfortunately, in Brazil, it gets very expensive, but I will look for something similar here or make a homemade one like you did… Here I have an 80cmx80cm tent. I would really like to have two stations of at least 1.20cmx1.20cm, but I am still in the process of preventive Habeas Corpus to be able to grow medicinally without being arrested in Brazil… but things are improving for growers, albeit slowly.
Some photos from yesterday…
I watered the 5 plants with 10ml of JLF diluted in 2.5L of water.
This is the second diluted JLF application I’ve done on them since germination.
They seem to be well supplied with nutrients, so I’ll continue with regular watering using only water, and depending on their needs, I might apply another dose of JLF…
If I’m not mistaken, these strains have a shorter flowering time of about 52-60 days. Since today marks one month of flowering, I think the substrate will hold up well for another month…
**One curious thing was this leaf that started forming pistils at the junction between the leaf and the stem hahaha. It’s the first time I’ve seen this kind of anomaly.

Greetings Greenfinger, photography is Looking good! you’re using your height space well. I’ll be joining alone virtually if you don’t mind, I’m around the same timeline. Flipped to flower about a month ago.

Don’t worry, I appreciate your participation, and we can exchange information.
Here, the flowers are still growing, and now the trichomes are becoming more visible and starting to cover the leaves nicely. Just one more month of care, I can’t wait to harvest them.
I also tried to keep a male plant, but I left it outdoors, and since it’s very hot here in the city, I messed up with the watering and unfortunately lost it. I wanted to save the pollen and pollinate an isolated bud to get more seeds… However, I haven’t used all the seeds from the pack yet. In the next cycle, I plan to sacrifice one to generate a lot of F3 seeds… Would those be F3, right? @DougDawson …since you made an F2, correct?
Maybe i’m overwatering, as some leaves are bent downward.
But overall, they seem healthy to me.

Yes, I believe that would be correct. They look good to me bud.
