@Heritagefarms On another noteā¦ blue dream is out stretching ghost, but the blue dream was not topped so thatās kinda to be expected. Does blue dream stop sooner while ghost continues to stretch?

Iām running a ghost x with Trophy wife and im wondering how slow is your Ghost flowering or fast. Or anyone with a answer why on day 31 of flower flowers are not growing much

Iād say a pic might help. But the one I posted here was taken on day 17
But buds donāt usually get weight on them till week 4-7 depending how fast itās suppose to finish. Last two week or so is the swell. Weeks 3-4 are kinda hairy popcorns waiting to receive pollen.
Hereās an example; though thereās a gap between the middle and oldest. Same strain, but clones of different plants. Put in a few weeks apart.
Left on day 10, middle day 20, right day 45

Iām only asking because Iāve grown alot of strains and these are slackers with long legs stretched till day 30 double in size

I pulled 2 because they were to tall an I had 2 collieman ready to replace lol
Again, strains differ, but I try to not cull till the smoke report, even if iteans chopping /bending the top down the first time (learning curve for the clones). Or in my case, aiming the top between my light panels

Iāve never grown the Ghost anything so I figured I woukd get a sec opinion š¤·

This is my first time with this cut. The other OG/Kush crosses Iāve grown were Critical Kush and SFV OG. The critical Kush was either a just messed up by me, or a poorly chosen pheno. Lots of bud sites, all puffy while other plants next to her had solid buds. Didnāt grow very big or yield much from a 6ā clone. Didnāt give a second chance as smoke didnāt impress me either. Sfv og had much better yield and structure, but not sure if thatās right comparison either way.

I grew sfv og for a yr for cespe creek delivery
They had it tested at I think in 2010 at 22 or so
They ask me to keep it on deck.

The blue dream definitely stretches but not as much in my experience, but different rooms often get different results , I had a ghost flipped into flower at 7 maybe 8 inches tall finish at 3 feet tall. I grew the sfv og for a long time but the terps are better on the ghost and the plant has a better structure , this makes sense though with the sfv being a s1 from the ghost.

Wait a sec, I thought Ghost ran Ā± 65-68 days and the Blue Dream Santa Cruz runs 75-80 ? I need to check my references.
I would say the og definitely needs 9 weeks to be prime , very similar finish time on the blue dream. I have had the original blue dream for 14+ years now, from before it was even popular on the north coast in California . Ive grown her in multiple different situations and environments and Iāve never seen it not finish before Halloween outside and itās normally faded and done by 9 weeks indoors.

Cypress Hill before 1995 ? People have challenge the doctor on ig and riu in the past about the legitimacy of his cuts, and all embarass themselves. He was one of the few who paid good money for original breeder cuts. As for his S1ās and his special process, well I dunno. He is a crotchety old mofo and high priced, but Cypress Hillā¦never heard of 'em LOL

Yes they have been around sense at least 1990 and I donāt doubt that the other guy you speak of has s1 beans of the ghost cut, the ghost og has made its way to all kinds of places.

Thank you for all the pics . I have a Strawberry Headband that I believes is very OG like. Loves to throw those 3 fingers. Not the Ghost but def one of them. I am gonna try training like a vine next time like you shared as she is a total flopper otherwise. Golf balls on wet noodles lol Incredible smoke

So who here believes in epigenetic changes being responsible for diff cuts of the same plant.
I know that mutations can occur that become permanent but it is much less uncommon then people make it sound.
A lot of times they are just witnessing different expressions due to different environments.
Phenotypic plasticity and epigenetic changes are different then permanent noticeable changes.
