What would be everyone’s suggestions for a solid old school indica as a base for breeding projects?
Suge Pure Kush, and Tahoe OG would be my picks.
I wish I could find a true ghost og cut to play with.
@Budderton has a very nice Afghani for exactly this purpose. You should check his thread!
Sour bubble
This is the kind of information I joined for… Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Has anyone had experience with CSI Humboldt’s HP13?
Welcome to the OG Community
Deepchunk or Skelly “The Puck” Hash plant would be some damn good choices if you could get your mitts on them.Very tightly hoarded
Jacalyn from Classic seeds is another .Awesome plant much potential in crosses with that one shes one of my favorites she likes to bulk up wimpy yeilds
I myself, would get some NWSun Repro of Crickets and Cicada Pacific Northwest Hashplant x Puck BC1 F2.
NWSun, is on Strainly. He is also a member here, but is best contacted through Strainly.
You aint gonna beat this, for $45 USD a pack.
These, would be my first choice.
Next up, would be?
AKBeanBrains NL5 Email Dave, for a complete seed list. dankortown@gmail.com
Also AKBB
Black Domina
Sensi Star F4
If you want a pure landrace I would go with Afghan kush or Kandahar. If you want something that’s been worked I’d would go with Herijauna , Sensi Star or a solid afghan based hash plant. jmo of course
X18, Deep Chunk and the cross of both as i did during X18 repro
I have Deep Chunk, the Puck and the new HP13 from CSI be interesting to do a side by side run of these old school indicas soon. Seeds are available to all three now. They may have hoarded in the past no doubt but the Internet has changed everything. Deep Chunk is available from Mantis genetics in Spain F14s now, Puck from Crickets and Cicadas seeds, Skelly HP from JJ Topdawgseeds and HP13 from both CSI Humboldt and Topdawgseeds etc
Came here to say Deep Chunk—I haven’t grown it (much less bred it), but it seems to get solid recommendations.
I saw someone mention how the C&C Puck BC3 would be great for breeding stock, the plants come out nearly uniform even though it’s a back cross. My plan is to find out one day (hopefully soon!)
Also heard excellent things about the Maruf Black from Tony Green. That’s another I hope to try within a few runs
