Your plant is pretty big for the pot it is in.
Flip to flower a little earlier next time (I usually flip when plants are about same height as the pot), or use a bigger pot, the bigger the soil volume, the better it can handle water that is too high or low in PH.
I often give PH 7,5 water to mine, no problems at all.
Companion crops help keep everything in balance too, I also often topdress with nettle and mint tea pulp for minerals and nitrogen.
@MNGrower I think just like how you said that I’m just stuck with it. Irritates the heck out of me. Giving it some Nutrients (General Hydro 0-10-10). We will see what happens. I probably killed it right now adding a bunch of 0-10-10 to it lol.
@Rogue Yeah I think the pot is to small. The thing just had a mind of it’s own and before I knew it, It started flowering (Autoflower)
To be honest with you guys, I’m willing to try anything. I’m a Commercial driver so I won’t be smoking this anytime soon. I just have always wanted to grow it ever since finding a seed in the weed sack in high school. Now I’m just focused on learning how to perfect this art for retirement. I should have put that into “Introduce Me” thread. Anyways. I’ll keep posting updates and we can keep tinkering with it
Thank you guys. This is exactly how I remember this site. Good community.
Transplanting is the surest way to fix an issue. If I get stumped I transplant. If you are good at it the plant won’t skip a beat and I’ve even seen an instant burst of vigor afterwards in some cases.
Like @George, I was thinking magnesium deficiency until seeing the green lower leaves, which means it’s an immobile nutrient giving you problems. This rules out Magnesium. Gotta go with George and switch to zinc deficiency. @ColeLennon I like dolomite lime myself. Been using it since 91. When guerrilla growing I often had to guess at the soil’s PH by looking at the plants and shrubs growing in the location. If they weren’t enough of a clue I just added extra dolomite lime. It would never drive the p h above seven and in soil that’s fine. Worked like a charm, Although I wouldn’t add lots of extra in a container.
All sorts of things are fine when growing in soil. My cousin watered his ( in ground) crop with 8.5- 9 PH creek water. No issues. Soil PH was high too. 8+. Frankly I couldn’t figure out how the hell his plants were happy, but that’s the same cousin that grew a twenty seven pound plant( not including larfy buds), so he’s surely charmed.
Usually zinc issues in soil ( container grown)are ph related from salty buildup . I’d try flushing the soil of salts from the chemical fertilizer first if that could be a possible issue and see what happens. Epsom Salt foliar feeding couldn’t hurt. I think that dose of ferts you just gave it could make the issue worse if its salty build up…you mentioned the lightly burnt leaf tips which makes me wonder…Hope i’m wrong, but if not, flush and foliar feed to get by til fixed. @ColeLennon can that Dolomite Lime burn a plant? I used it before planting only.
Also dry pockets in the soil can cause zinc deficiency. The dry pockets can drive your ph up if I remember correctly. Good luck!
As is, you’ll still get a harvest, though maybe a bit smaller one.
I like using calcitic pure powdered lime at a rate 1/2 TBSper gallon of medium. Scratched in the top and watered in… Works immediately. If you use more than 2TBS per gallon it can be toxic…I always scratch it in the top even mid plant. I even use it in part coco part soil…Never ph anything. That’s in big 30 gallon pots…I’ve used it successfully in 1 gallon pots also…
Just because i joined some forum 11 hours ago doesnt discredit my growing experience… look at this guy treating new members as if they are lesser than him… bro your resin production is comical… please just spend $55 on decent genetics…
