Found this place in the Minneapolis burbs late 90s.

@The Pot Spot by Eros AKB 1995

Freestyle painted in 1995 at a local bridge spot known as “The Pot Spot”. This was a solo mission. This photo doesn’t quite do this piece justice. It makes it look smaller then it really was. This was done with just a bunch of different scrap cans that I had. I didn’t really have any idea or concept as to what I was going to do but when I was at the spot and had seen all the hit ups for “The Pot Spot”, I decided to rock it in hopes that the locals would appreciate that fact that I did it for them. For the most part they did. It stayed up for a while untouched but like most everything in graff, some toy comes along and busts some wak tags right in the middle of it. Of course, with neon safety orange to top it off. I was cool with the longevity of the piece. This was done prior to the 4 year anniversary piece for my girl Nikki that I had painted to the left of this piece. You can see that one in my wall photos section. This bridge was tore down this past year and a new one is being built in it’s place. Thanks to the tragic events that happened with the 35w bridge, this one was in disrepair and had to be destroyed for safety reasons. I recently went back to this bridge to find that the new construction of it was almost complete and the walls are going to be super dope. Better then before. I can’t wait. Maybe I’ll rock another “The Pot Spot” piece just to keep it’s name, it’s spirit and all that it stood for, alive. Oh and the fill for the pot leaves inside the piece were done with a homemade thin tip. Using one of those tips were the shit back in the day. The Good Ole’ Days!

There was one on a bridge in HUGE letters, because the bridge had these huge panels. I recreated it on a much smaller RR bridge. I thought the impact of this most impressive. As i remember (this was some 40 years ago) there had been a scandal in the area involving police. So it was timely and very impressive. It was right along the freeway so thousands of cars daily read it.

There’s an infamous truck eating bridge(low headspace) in Kansas City that they’re planning a mural for, I’m sharing the concept art for this mural.
