Gramps Out Door Garden

Hey Gramps, if I started vegging indoors in May (seeds coming May 1st) and then started gradually putting them outside in the ground in June, could I still have a successful harvest by September or so? Growing OG Kush fems from DNA genetics.

Sure why not ? if everything is done right / Taken care of and the right genetics you could have pounds .

They should start flowering in mid August if you get them out that early. Then they would be finished in mid October give or take, and if theyā€™re indica or hybrid. Sativa can take 16 weeks and can be started flowering indoors early and finish the last 8 weeks outside naturally. Or, let them start flower naturally outside and bring in to finish.

Mid October is the average finish date for most places.

Thatā€™s fine, Iā€™m gonna treat that OG Kush feminized seed like a queen, dawg. Sheā€™s getting 24 hour light cycles the minute she pops under 1000w white

A little late with this answer but I go from 1 gallon to 400 gal bags . 1 plant per bag lets them get big :sunglasses:

Wowzers, ainā€™t that size-wise like 8 fluffed-out bails of pro-mix per plant?

Itā€™s two cubic yards plus or minus like a full size pickup load heaping lol .

This length of this thread is beyond scrolling, Iā€™ve tried. so some sort of soil recycling happening? Black mail of a landscaping company? I donā€™t think I could afford to grow diamond trees at those amounts with fancy box store soillesses. I just all spent all week raking leaves and sticks and pine cones and what have you, ones I should have dealt with last fall , that, plus dead garden plant material and I would guess add some sort of a manure source. ( chickens from next door visit all the time here lol) stuff like that?

Manure from Horses / Cows / Goats / Sheep and donated soil from grows gone bad I borrowed a skid steer and dump trailer . We also have a large organic veggy patch so loads of turkey manure or whatever is cheap or free .

Its been years since Iā€™ve seen the bottoms but no ! the roots just circle the bags massive root structure by the end of the season . I just flood the bags it takes a while for the water to leach out but stops salt buildup . All the old roots help to keep the soil loose the bags were bone dry no rain to speak of this spring . I turned the soil with a shovel and raked then dug a hole twice the size of the one gallon pots . Filled with water 2 times then planted I donā€™t mess with the roots . I just turn the starts upside down and shake out fill around them firm a little and water again .
