Watching this grow for sure, not sure how I haven’t seen it until just now.
I’m pretty shocked you guys are getting such consistently hot weather up north already. We live in the one of the hottest parts of the Valley in LA and it’s definitely been getting hot as shit here during the day, but it’s been cooling off nicely at night, mid-to-low 60’s. That’ll change soon, though…
I’m just curious, @gramps Did you source that Blue Dream you’re growing directly from Dark Heart? Or did you get it from one of the dispensaries that DH vends to? I reallllyyyy wanna get a few of their Sour Diesel clones, but since they don’t vend to the public anymore (at least, as far as I know), I’m gonna have to find a dispensary where they dropped off clones, make the five hour drive up north (ten hours round-trip haha) and hope that I can get there before everything’s gone. But if you know of a way to get clones directly from DH, I’m all ears. That’d make things a lot easier.
I purchased from one of Dark Hearts venders I just looked at there venders list and there’s dozens in southern California . I know they had Blue Dream Clones today in Diamond Springs but that’s a long drive from down south . But this will help you https://darkheartnursery.com/retail/
Yeah, there’s a lot of vendors down here, but DH hasn’t done a Sour Diesel drop at any of the SoCal vendors in a long time. That’s really the only clone of theirs I’m interested in. Or rather, that’s the only clone I’m willing to bring into my garden. I’m pretty OCD when it comes to clones haha.
Anyway, I’ll check out that link, thanks for that. And try to stay cool this week. That insanely hot weather’s coming back again…
The Blue Dream lady’s are loving the heat high 90’s to 100 degrees not record breaking but hot . Fertilized and Humic trimmed everything that was touching earth I could have built another plant with what I cleaned off . And the Green lacewings are taken care of any aphids so far .
Looking big and strong man. Carry on. That’s the way to tame that heat. We’re freaking in the 60’s for highs and 52 for lows. Raining in and out. I’ll take it! peace
@minitiger , I used to be the same way with clones. I was probably even a little more far gone than even the most OCD. Haha. I have recently taken in a few cuts. 5 or 6 from Cali, one locally here in Oklahoma. I figured fuck it, if my IPM game is on point as well as my quarantine, and I scope and spray the clones like hell upon arrival, then the worst thing that can happen is I learn that my IPM is nowhere near as bulletproof as I thought it was. Seeing as I am sitting at a wood table, I will knock on it while I say, I don’t know how bulletproof I am,or if the super clean cuts I got are to blame, but I am finally starting to relax a bit when it comes to taking in elites. I dont have the time anymore to do 100-300 plant sifts to find my own keeper. I still run seeds, alot actually, and if I find something special great, but I am no longer against taking a hand when it comes to acquiring genetics.
Yeah, I trust myself to make sure everything is clean and disease-free. There’s just not a whole lot of clones I want. Sour Diesel really is the only one I can think of.
I do a dunk with with clones I don’t need imported problems . I put a couple of freebies in my tent a couple of seasons ago . Total nightmare to kill off the invaders mites aphids molds and mildew . Part of the problem I think was the neighbors bringing all there infected plants outdoors . Just yards from my grow a little wind and it spreads all over the hill . The only plus being lots of ladybugs showing up from next door .
The top of a Banana Mango crazy veg heat has no effect 7’ 4" I wonder how tall these girls will get ? Starting to divide up into multiple tops .P6282071|666x375
The blue Dream Lady’s have doubled in size in a month you soon forget how big they can get . Watered and fed looks like more 90s nothing new . I did shake some diatomaceous earth around the bags to freshen up . Had small ants marching up the sides of a couple bags this will end the trails . And one of my helpers Green Lacewing hunting for aphids .
I dropped a net on the Banana Mango’s the tops were three feet taller than the rest of the plant . I was watching the wind whipping the tops back and forth and got nervous lol . A little added support I’ll do the Blue Dreams in the morning when its cool .
Have the temps around you eased up any? We had low 60’s for the highs for a few days and rainy. Seems to be edging back up to 70’s and low 80’s for the next few days with storms in the forecast. Strange weather. peace
Wow, 62° and raining again out there. It’s like we’re on the path for these storms and it’s the same every day. Not sure I remember a month with so much rain. Strange days. Going down to 56 tonight. Take it when you can get it!
No its full on summer 90s everyday 70s during the overnight hours starting out at 76 this morning . I’m going to smoke a bowl and start watering . A lot of fires starting from dry lightning in the northern end of the state right by all those green houses reported at over 8000 grows . Smoke blowing towards Nevada you can get high just breathing lol . Wow back from watering and feeding the big girls have grown another 4 inches their back in high gear and full on veg . New tops forming and a lot of new shoots in all direction a month ahead of last seasons . I think I’ll order a new orchard ladder lol .
Warm again nothing new heavy watering on the girls they all seem to love this heat I don’t . My turn to water the rest of the garden and watering trees trying to save from the drought . Put a new pump on an old well and redone the plumbing and electrical all working perfect lol . An extra 2500 gallons in storage with new booster pump hurray me jumping around lol .
I thought mine were big with the tallest hovering around 6’ 2" but damn, you’re killin it @gramps!!
Looking forward to seeing how big ours get this year! Maybe if I go up on my roof with binoculars I’ll be able to see yours all the way from here in Canada lol.
Happy 4th a milestone marker one of the Blue Dream lady’s hit 8 feet today . This is the tallest I have ever had this early in a grow just water today its getting hot again .
Being that these are clones from unknown mothers I just don’t know . But the last time I grew Blue Dream they hit around fourteen feet and they were laying over . The Banana mango are just a few inches behind and the vanilla Frosting are about five feet and spreading they seem more normal ? Just playing around this season to see how big they all get . Here’s an old photo the top of the grey poles is fourteen feet from the base of plant and they were still growing . And they get monster wide had to wrap all the plants with net to hold up .
