I would love to grow my own moon drop grapes. They are one of my favorite varieties of grapes, and right now im growing Green Niagara, and the skin is a little thick on them, and they mush into a snot type consistency when squished. Im assuming these are for wine?
Has anyone ever grow out the moon drops or sweet sapphire grapes?
I have not, but i thought most grapes started from cuttings tbh
Is it a long process to get them going from seed?
I would imagine several years from seed before they are producing good grapes. I grew mine from cuts, and it took several years before i got a good harvest off them. I didnt prune them so good this year and i lost alot to humidity issues.
I have grown grapes from seeds. They need to be dried for a few weeks then dipped in a hydrogen peroxide solution then put the seeds in some dampened sterilized vermiculite and throw in your refrigerator for a month or 2 untli you see germination. They need a cold period to sprout.
