Grape Stomper OG F2 "Last Chance" Diary

What’s up, OGers :metal: Alright, so what we have here is the last three seeds of Native Sun Genetics/Cartier Crops Grape Stomper OG F2

I or my dad bought this pack back in 2020.

Drop date: 10/18/2024
I was able to successfully germinate all three, ended up with two females/one male. No intentions for a seed run so I ditched the male.

Generally speaking, both plants are a bit fickle when it comes to exceeding their DLI, they get really droopy before lights-out, like moreso than most plants. Although I will admit the humidity in the space is lower than optimal.

Fast fwd to where we are now, I’ve cut one clone off each plant & accidentally broke a branch off plant #1 and cloned it :man_shrugging: so i have two #1s and one #2 clone for now.

See?? Super droopy before the lights go out. *The tan pot has a Mephisto Hendersons Haze auto hitching a ride on this grow.

That’s it for now :man_shrugging:. No point in yet showing “this is #1 and this is #2” because they’re not very different in veg. But we’ll keep an eye on that as we enter flower :+1:

The clones, all still rooting, this is about day 11 and maybe maybe 6 or 7 for the second #1 cut. I guess it is worth noting, the #2 clone has smaller fatter leaves and both #1s have a more standard slightly longer leaf structure :man_shrugging::+1:

Should be some great smoke. Parking my arse ina chair and gonna hang out for awhile

See, here’s what I’m working with metrics-wise. Very dry conditions.

Turning the exhaust off makes the RH spike way too high, I’d rather it be low than high. I’d rather slow veg progress than subject anything to potentially moldy conditions :man_shrugging:

Still lookin good, though. Just smaller than I’d like for everything’s age

Those numbers look familiar

This is basically the environment I’m rockin atm too. Got a miniature forest of autos entering their third week of flower though.
Might have to break out the dehumidifier. :grimacing:

All three clones have nice roots & are showing positive growth :+1:. It’s part of the reason I still like cutting fan leaf tips when I clone, it’s much easier to notice and track the new growth.

Everything else got a light defoliation & the two GSOG’s are needing to be transplanted pretty badly

Got them transplanted and into the flower tent but keeping under 18/6 for a while. FUCK, these plants are so picky. They get soooooo droopy when you exceed their DLI or give them any stress. This pic is 15mins after lights turned on. Transplanted them last night & they’ve had one full 18/6 cycle in this tent:

The autoflower in the back is doing just fine, but, to be fair that one didn’t get transplanted, just moved and cage added.

The Grape Stomper clones though, are doing really well & never seem to exhibit such droop or stress:

Pretty much the same conditions I am growing in, as well.
Veg plants are growing slow, but they are healthy.

Alright so, they’re finally starting to droop a little less, but still droopy

Conditions in the 4x4, 12hrs into 18hr light cycle

It’s cooler than I’d like, but that shouldn’t be the issue IMO, nor the lower than optimal RH. I still think they’re recovering from root stress and “overwatering”, the coco stays pretty saturated even after 24hrs. Going to let them dry back a bit & see if that helps.

The autoflower in back is doing very well in the same space, even after a decent defoliation

And the Grape Stomper clones are also doing very well with less RH, but more heat

Conditions in the 2x2 are “okay” but the RH is way lower than it should be, but clones are still perky

Well whattya know. … I just happened to notice, the #1 clones are 7-fingered leaves and the #2 clone has 5-fingers :+1:

This could be a tell in how they stretch and how long they take to flower.

I’ll have to take a better look at the leaves on the larger mother plants once they perk-up

That bottom one looks most like the Grape Stomper.

Alright so, these clones got transplanted a day ago & never skipped a beat, never sagged at all

I sprinkled Azos on the roots since i was out of MYKOS which, up until now I was debating whether any root goodies even help prevent transplant shock. … well, considering the mothers are on like day 8 of being saggy whiny brats, I’m starting to think Azos or MYKOS will be an integral part of future transplants:

I did a light defoliation last night even though they’re still drooping, and watered both plants thru with some Azos-water this morning. Gonna see if that helps perk them up quicker, although I can already tell they’re on the up-swing slowly but surely.

At 15.5 hours under lights, the clones start showing me “I’m tired, boss”. I might switch the veg light cycle to 16/8 and see if that helps reduce or eliminate the droop :man_shrugging:

Flipped these babies about 5 days ago:

They’re finally recovered, although the #2 leaves are still a little droopier than ideal, but everything is growing at an acceptable rate :+1:

The autoflower is doing really well, flowering nicely

Another leaf-strip for everything, final lollipopping of everything clearing out all the branches that won’t reach the canopy sufficiently. :+1:

The auto is auto’ing perfectly fine under 12/12 lighting :ok_hand: so basically what I did was kept it on Grow feed until i noticed first flowers @ day 50, at that time switched to Bloom feed. About 2 days of Bloom feed then started adding Hydroplex/PK booster @ 2ml/gal. I’m currently giving it the equivalent of the start of week 3 scheduled diet.

GSOG #2 always finding a reason to droop :joy: lol, but the clone of this is super nice so I know it’s just this plant. To be fair, every time this plant levels off, I stress it in some way :man_shrugging::joy:

GSOG #1 looking pretty standard, but given how the clones were growing I’m anticipating a rad stretch out of this one in the next couple weeks. I’m ready for it this time with a much taller cage :+1:

Oh and I gotta say shout out to @VIVOSUN on the newest iteration of the pole clip oscillating fans! These things are very nice

I’ve been very impressed by these so far. I haven’t had to clean then yet so we’ll see how that goes :man_shrugging::joy::+1: lol! But yeah, very impressed, i have one set on 3/6 and one set on 4/6 in a 4x4 tent and I’m finding that to be my sweet spot :ok_hand:

Flowering has commenced! :metal::rose:
GSOG #1

A less pronounced aroma than #2, this one smells “darker” by comparison, but still nothing to pinpoint.

GSOG #2

#2 has a really nice “powdered purple candy” vibe, kinda grape but more like a generic sweet jellybean aroma. This one might be the keeper! I really prefer plants that express trichomes and aromas early like this.

Honorable mention, the Henderson’s Haze auto tagging along with these:

This one is big-time mango aroma, leaning toward candied peach rings :fire: I cant wait to smoke this one.

GSOG #1. week 6 flower

Still gives me a boysenberry syrup vibe but my buddy said “that’s straight grape gas!” Small nug structure but dense and super frosty.

GSOG #2

(bad pic, sorry) Not much different than #1 but just a slight sweeter powdered candy vibe, structurally very similar. Still leaning on keeping this one of the two.

Mephisto Hendersons Haze auto, day 92 from seed approx week 6 since start of flower

Yummy juicy tropical jellybean smells, SUPER sticky. Still makes me wonder how much fuller the flowers might have been under longer lighting periods :man_shrugging:

OOOPS sorry, I’ve been calling the #1 and #2 backwards.

Here’s the actual #1 pot labeled:

The #1 plant is lighter in color overall, especially at the tops. The smell is kinda piney/sour with a strong fuel funk.

#2 is the darker colored one, sweeter/sugary smell with a similar strong fuel funk. The flowers are getting a big surge in growth.

Everything pictured at day 55 flower.
