Probably just stress. But if that’s the case, that’s the most beautiful stressed plant I’ve ever seen…lol

I gotta say, for how little light it gets and how tiny the pot is, its rather impressive lol. I’d hate to see what she would do in a solo cup comp lmao.
I did snag a couple clones so worst case scenario I can try and flower one for her in better conditions

the thing that causes them to hermi is stress …unless it is a natural hermi which means you just want to kill it cause all the clones will also go hermi …but if it is stress it does not matter what kind of stress cause it the beans made with the pollen will not be any different then if the stress was cause by the silver …and light changes WILL stress a plant …

Yea, this ones been stressed pretty good… but with what I’ve got planned I dont want hermi pollen floating around lol.

Silver hermies a plant because it blocks the absorption of a certain light spectrum from my understanding. I have always been told and read that to stress test a strain before making fems beans with it. If it herms easily probably not a good strain to make fem beans with. The ones that will take a good stressen and not herm are the ones to select for fem bean making. This is kind of old ideology that some believe and some dont. I am one who does. You also wont see any fem beans in my collection.

had plants hermi in the greenhouse in spring because the light hrs got tolong before they finished …got some nice fem beans out of that and never had an isure with any of them …was a pain in the butt trying to get plants to finish before the days got to long and every strain had a little diffrent idea on that …ended up using black out

Im trying to stay on top of my watering technique. Hand watering is an art i still dont have down to a T yet. Lol. Especially after up pots. I always end up overwatering.

been dealing with this problem myself when i up potted some babies into a new mix that apparently holds more water then the old one did…so sad to see them suffering

Couple pics of the two most interesting ones. Both plants have had a nug pollenated with PK auto. Sour D looks pollenated for sure, but im not 100% sure violator worked… it looks promising though
Violator: pungent stank, crystal covering all the surrounding leaves.
Sour D auto: Some times lemon, sometimes pine smells. Finishing slower than I’d hope, “should have been done” but has some solid time left.

It’s not actually a stress response, see below.
Close, it blocks the female growth hormone. Without that, the plant has no choice but to produce male flowers.

I have no clue about the smoke. I got 6 seeds. 4 got stolen outdoor last year. 1 made it most of the way, and got hit with fem pineapple chunk pollen (14 seeds). But between multiple late season moves, being kicked over by a bear multiple times and then a rainy finish it got bud rot and thrown out. The one in the pic is my final #6 seed. I’m wishing I S1 it lol ohwell, PK X SD probably wont be bad

if your blocking certain things from the plant your stressing it …and i have seen pics of what plants that have bean treated look like …a mess of stress …imho of course …just an old lady who has been involved in growing all sorts of things for 50+ years

It can stress the plant, but that’s not how it creates male flowers. Most of the plants I reverse look perfectly happy and healthy. Here is a happy Sugar Black Rose I reversed with CS.
If you create intersex through stress, the progeny will have a tendency to intersex under similar situations. Even Soma stopped using “natural” methods to reverse plants and is using silver.
