Grease_monkeys ongoing micro grow

Next on the list is my violator auto plan. Plus pollenating a marauder/violator/cackleberry and bubbas gift with violator fem pollen. The 4 clones have been hit and one branch of the zkittles auto aswell.

I literally threw a handful of dry pollen husks into my tent the other night lol

Now whether I grow the first gen of violator/zkittles right away and chase it till its auto is undecided. Lol I may take a break from pollen and see how big I can grow 1 plant. I’m thinking gods green crack from JOTI

Also wanted to do a 4 flavor hashplant run… but that can wait

I will be popping your purple kush in the next week, 4 for me and 4 for a buddy to grow outside, he has not grown before, so it will probably be better for him with the autos.

Awesome, hopefully they grow strong for you both!

So do I, its a nice bit of smoke. I am not sure how my buddy will do I said I would go round and help him out, he shouldn’t be growing in his back yard, as its visible to all his neighbours, and not allowed in his area, how stinky are they?

I forget exactly, but it was more of a fruity flowery smell than a weedy smell. Careful with the nutrients, the original would take all I could give. Then i tried one and ignored abused and over fed it… its dying in my back yard

Oh dear, well I told him to buy some super soil, and I am going to give him some amendments once it starts to flower. He is using five gallon buckets with holes in the bottom, so there should be plenty of food in the soil to start, I will add some LABs minerals and malted barley powder after a couple of weeks to boost the bacteria and nutrients. Hopefully he wont get them ripped off lol.

What a horrible plant to trim lol. Tons of semi lose buds. And tons of leaves throughout. But on the plus side thus may be my biggest harvest, I had to use 3 trays to get it separated for drying
The pile in the pic is about 4" tall

Are these the f2s from the preservation run or original f1s?

Did you get to test out a few different phenos?

Looks delicious by the way

Anyone got a quicker way to filter? It’s going to take all night with three filter jars getting thru 1 liter

Single coffee filter only

buchner funnel… but just a lot of sediment ? i find its typically easier to filter it through a fine mesh filter first, let it sit for awhile till the heavy’s drop out then decant off the top of it not even bothering with the coffee filter.

Yea mainly just sediment. I poured it through a wire strainer to get all the leaf out. Theres the odd tiny flake but not much

also the last bit in the filter you usually have to kinda make into a sac by twisting the top and squeezing it out, but try the letting it settle and decanting off the top if your not super ocd.

nice harvest btw

The bowl is already settling, definetly going to try that lol. I also found I can push it through the filter quicker with a turkey baster hahaha.

Thsnks! I just used all the trim from the cackleberry for this batch. Hoping for a cherry/strawberry flavoured oil

Paper towel is the answer… 10 times faster and still mostly filtered

I have some Bodhi Black Lotus that smells rotten as fuck when you first open the jar. It slowly turns into a red whine smell in the air. Good smoke. Just rotten smelling even after a 2 month cure.

This stuff has lightened up a bit… but damn it’s not pleasant lol

This last time I used a 3 stage filter process.

Metal rice strainer for the coarse stuff, then a tea strainer for the finer stuff, then a disposable automotive paint and clear coat filter, which is extremely fine and fairly cheap, to get all the trichome husks out. This filter is a combination paper and fine mesh plastic.

This way only took 5 minutes for the last step opposed to over 1 hour with multiple paper towels the previous time, filtering 3 litres of alcohol, so I lost very little mixture as well as speeding up the process.
