Looks like some hefty bud grenades on that one, great work this outdoor season @Greasy
Thank you @Oldtimerunderground ! I felt a lot more confident this season after all the tutelage I got last year. It’s funny how growing outdoor works here. I feel so triumphant and unstoppable through veg and mid flowering, but by the end I’m all worried and just like please let nothing bad happen so I can smoke this weed!
They are impressive man. Beautiful work.
she is amazing Sun Ra sounds like an Asian Porn star
edit if one was to ever watch porn
Everything looks
Botrytis sucks, but you’re right, it’s part of the outdoor grow for sure. Got some ladies coming down soon as well and have been on the hunt for all the demons coming around this time of year! (botrytis, PM, etc). Can’t wait for the smoke reports on all your stuff, especially those sherb x wc!
edit: Every thought of trying this? https://www.bokashiearthworks.com/product/trichoderma-harzianum/
I bought the Beauveria Bassiana and Trichoderma Harzianum spores and am going to make a batch in the next few days. Googled them both and they seem very beneficial. Will incorporate heavily into my outdoor grows next season.
Do you really not know who Sun Ra is? Do yourself a favor and listen to some of his music.
Legend.
I think nube mentioned that he saw The Arkestra once, actually, which would’ve been fucking awesome. I never got the chance to see them live.
Excited to see what you find in the SunRas as well as the F2 project!
Trichodermas mycoparasitic nature definitely is appealing rather than using fungicides but the old ODA finding is always in the back of my mind with that stuff. If viable sounds like a great addition!
ODA’s Fertilizer Program is the only one in the nation checking on ingredient claims made for microbiological products. The program began testing products claiming to contain beneficial bacteria and one type of beneficial fungi (Trichoderma) in 2013. Of the 51 products tested for bacteria, only nine met their guarantees. Of the 14 products tested for Trichoderma, none met their guarantees. Last year, the program began testing products with mycorrhizal fungi, which form partnerships with plant roots for mutual benefit. Of the 17 products tested, only three met the guarantees made on the product label.
Someone working with biologicals spoke very highly of B Bassiana on multiple occasions to me, but may be worth posting this even if the risk is low with long term repeated use of B Bassiana.
The fungus rarely infects humans or other animals, so it is generally considered safe as an insecticide. However, at least one case of human infection by B. bassiana has been reported in a person with a suppressed immune system.[17] Additionally, the spores may exacerbate breathing difficulties.
I hadn’t heard of this before. If it works I would be interested. Also want to do some more research on the bio fungicide Regalia. Mold is gross, if it can be beaten I’m all ears.
@syzygy thanks for posting some more background. With the limited amount of watchdog testing it’s always good to take products claims with a grain of salt.
Very interesting… I feel like you could probably apply this to a lot of “products” out there today. Especially microbial products with claims on spore counts, etc.
Bucked the Sun Ra and Goji F2 for an early morning harvest tomorrow. The Goji de staked just makes me laugh with how floppy she is!
There’s no doubt the microbes are helpful but yes, it’s likely you’ll never see anywhere near the concentrations alleged on the label and they know this. I would treat it as a “starter” and do my best to propagate them in the soil pile some time before using the soil.
Goji OG F2 Purple Stem Pheno. Flowering a little under ten weeks. She has become the looker of the three plants. Getting real sticky and purple! Today she is smelling like anise and berry. No signs of mold whatsoever on this plant so far. Hoping I’ll be able to take her as long as she wants.
Goji OG F2 Stretchy Pheno. Also flowering a little under ten weeks. Has the best smells of the three. Straight pine coming from this one. I think that’s my favorite smell to get from bud. She has had some caterpillar issues, but no boytris yet. Hard to say until I smoke it, but I have a hunch that this is the one that will be my favorite.
Blueberry Muffins x Vintage Blueberry F2 ready to go into jars. Still smells of berry, and just smoked a bowl in the volcano and the sweet blueberry flavor is coming through!
me too… pine needles, pine sol, pine wood, pine car freshner, pine pine pine
Looks like you harvested quite a nice collection of colas. Some donkey dicks there, homie! That sun ra and goji og sound like fire. The GDP as well. Old skool always rocks my world. Happy Harvest and Croptober!
