What’s the aversion to sending cash? Is it that it could be more easily absconded? If something went awry, aren’t you in the same boat regardless in that unless either the cash or money order makes it back to you, it’s a wash? I’ve always sent them cash bc it removes the step of purchasing the money order. Not trying to give a hard time. Rather trying to understand why one may select money order vs. cash.

Never heard of that. Does that apply to the money orders you can buy at the post office or Walmart? If so, what state?
With cash, a recipient has the plausible deniability of the “it never arrived” excuse. With a money order, you can verify if it’s been cashed - and to some degree - by whom. If you’re so inclined, you can open an investigation with the entity that created the money order and get confirmation of who cashed it.

Oregon, but we have some local laws about check-cashing / paycheck lone businesses so it could be a local thing. It definitely applies to the money orders you can buy in a wal-mart or grocery store, and to western union shops.
The post office is just inconsistent. I have sometimes gotten a blank one there by saying I was picking it up for a family member and didn’t know how to fill it out.
In this case, I asked for it blank, but they had already gotten a name from the package I was mailing out, and gave it to me with that name printed on it.

while this is true, most people i know only send cash with a tracking number. when the tracking says delivered that is just as good as any receipt from a money order.

Yeah, obviously. Some people don’t want to spend the extra money on a tracked envelope, but it’s effective if used.

This was what was driving my question of “why not cash?” GLG asks for tracking (I think) when you send payment. Tracking comes with priority anyway if that’s the way you choose to send, or kick in a few extra for first class tracking. Either way, best practice is to not send more than you’d be willing to lose, be it cash or money order✌🏻

I have run into the same problem at the post office here in Canada. They refuse to print me a blank money order.
If I ever do feel the need enough to order seeds again I will happily send cash priority post.

GLG requires priority tracking for all orders. I dropped my order at the same post office. They literally walked it over to their box… Their reason is they don’t want a plan letter is so as not to bring attention brought to their PO Box. You should have seen the look they gave me when I got priority mail at the same PO as the destination

I’ve always used grocery stores to buy money orders and have never been hassled about wanting them blank, and that’s across multiple states.

I got a blank money order before and had it returned to me because the seed seller wouldn’t return an email.
I just put my name on it.
My local.po is doing great but one across the river seems like a toxic mess they won’t even give you a piece of scotch tape for a package

A pack was lost by the post office. They sent me a mail to apologise. I sent the mail to GLG and they don’t answer
I bought more than 12000 euros in seeds and like 4000 euros un clones and I never had problems (only one time with ace seeds and he apologies)

Next, did the tracking number show Both of your packages were delivered to the address you gave me.
Yes they Do.
I have your Emails that Verify you changed your address, the Police raided you and took your money and I provided you with 2 tracking numbers that say your package’s were delivered.
As I told you before you need to check things in your country or with the person you had forward your mail.

From my years of observation the mad customers always seem to be the folks very quick to fly off the handle. Their impatience seems to lead them to feel the need to post some vitriol hate about how GLG is a scam etc etc .
Meanwhile each and every time I have watched it turn out to be a misunderstanding at worst lol

I respect the way he handles even the trolls. Really shows the effort he puts in to keeping a good image for his company. I hope he just doesn’t accept future orders from those kind of people lol
