Great Lake Genetics

Well, if it is as you say, I think you’ll just have to chalk it up to a loss. I don’t mean to be that guy, but sending or receiving that amount of seed across international borders at one time is pretty risky and you have to accept that risk. I won’t assume whether your story is fact or fiction, but just know that experience is the best teacher. :v:t2:

GLGs got clones?

Sorry but my point of view is that the post office is the carrier and GLG is the seller

Both have insurances in case of problems

More, I did what GLG said : I paid two shipments for this order. And I received only one pack

And sorry but all sellers refund in this situation that’s why I don’t understand why they don’t answer

Best regards

No they don’t have clones

Did you handle this on a diplomatic way through out or did ya fly off the handle?

No need to apologize man. I honestly don’t know what the USPS’ insurance policy is with international post. I do know that for priority in the US, it only comes with $50 insurance. Anything supplemental has to be paid by the sender. Sadly, the USPS is not going to go out of their way for you.

Not trying to be an ass with my earlier post either. That’s just a large order, even by domestic means. I’d be on pins and needles waiting for that to hit my box. I feel for ya dude, especially if you were civil when addressing with GLG.

Diplomatic way Bro

The real question is has anyone ran any of them Bad Dawg Freebies?! I ordered from them once and also got a Pineapple Sorbet F2 from Noble Genetics. I am unfamiliar with them but the Pineapple Sorbet was originally bred by Aficionado. Kind of jazzed for those beans.

For as many of his genetics that’s been given away as freebies, I’m surprised that I can say no.
I’m . Sure out there somewhere someone has.

I emailed Jeff a problem I had with a Bodhi pack…I doubt it was even his fault. I decided to keep what I received and more just letting them know. He still wants to send me a free pack!!!

I doubt these shipments are insured for the value. I can see that claims adjuster from USPS. “So you shipped what?” LOL

It’s a bummer when it happens but GLG didn’t gain anything by your package being lost. If they replaced them they’d be out the money too.

Im sure DBJ will do something nice for you.

Their gear has been sold on seedheaven for a while. That one was for sale but is sold out now. I think they made a cross or 2 with a male from it, one was with holyweed one with snake candy. I have a pack or 2 but haven’t grown it out myself yet. Some are untested others have pics of some nice looking buds.

Here’s a copy and paste of the description is you didn’t get one with the pack:

***Both parents had a short flowering period of 8-9 weeks. Both parents had a very nice structure, with tight intermodal spacing. The mother had a high yield of dense, fragrant, high quality buds. The smell was unique, and very fruity. Out of the 10 phenos of pineapple sorbet f1 I grew, the mother AND the father of these seeds were the best. This is the same father that was used in all of the pineapple sorbet crosses in this series, which had excellent structure and tight flowers, as well as a fruity stem rub.

These seeds are untested***

Amazing! Thanks for that. Now I’m even more excited.

Michigan grower here about 15 minutes from Clio where they’re based, anyone dealt with them directly? Any idea if I could deal with them directly vs. having to go through the mail and such?

USPS has grown a habit of losing things ever since the pandemic.

I’ve not heard of GLG doing any in-person sales, since they don’t have a physical storefront.

Unfortunately, I’ve had my last couple mailed payments go missing after leaving the main USPS hub in my area. One ended up getting delivered over a month late. The other is currently ‘In Transit, Arriving Late’. I always use Priority Mail, so tracking is always a given–if USPS bothers to scan it. But apparently Priority Mail apparently now just means “if you’re lucky it gets there.”

Hey friend. Priority comes with $50 insurance included by default. Have you filed a claim with USPS on the package that vanished? I know it doesn’t get you your beans, but at least provides some restitution.:v:t2:

What payment method are you using? Did you send a check or money order? If so, you’re not totally screwed. If you sent cash…well, you MIGHT not be screwed, but as @anon20530495 said, your Priority Shipping does come with $50 insurance included.

Side Note: If you purchase your USPS Priority Mail shipping label through PirateShip.com, they give you a commercial discount on the label cost AND double up the free insurance. So a USPS Priority envelope would come with $100 insurance included for free.

Been there plenty of times myself the past year and a half… Even ones shipped from interstate, would’ve taken me a couple hours drive to pick em up vs shipped and ended up being a 2-4 week endeavor across the entire state for absolutely no reason.

I haven’t filed a claim yet because I’m still hopeful the second one might turn up. It’s been less than a month on that one. But, since it’s cash and it went to the exact same address as the previous one that went AWOL…I’m also considering that someone happened to see the address and knew what would be enclosed.

Anyone know what happens if you make a claim and your package turns up sometime later? Is it still sent to the final destination? Is it returned to the sender? Or is it destroyed/disposed?

Good question bud. I’m like you in that I cling to hope, but that could bite you in this scenario if you wait too long (60 days after send date is the cutoff). Check out some details on claims here: File a Claim | USPS.

I hope this works out for you in one way or another.

Have you opened a case with the postal service to search for the package? If so, what are they telling you?
