EXCELLENT start to this addicting Hobby!!! Your plants are, indeed, looking fine n dandy. Plenty of reliable experience here on OG. All you have to do is ask. Take care, stay safe and, be well.
Thanks misterbee. I will do some asking for sure.
I have done some training already definitely need to do some more and pull some leave to open up plant get light to all the cola sites.
Don’t be afraid to use strig to pull branches where you want them. I would also add from my experience dont remove leaves after the 3rd week of flower
Thank you Dank D for the info going tie some down tomorrow for sure.
Hi @Bigred, excellent start, they are looking great. Sorry to hijack your thread but I have a question for Dank-D
Hi @anon81143130 , What you have said about no defoliating after 3rd week of flower. That makes sense to me but just want to confirm the reason for this if you know? I imagine just to do with not wanting to risk stressing the plant and affecting its growth during the home stretch of flower? Ta.
Correct and plants will also need some solar panels to grow big beautiful buds
Thats not to say that you can’t remove a leaf or 2 here and there
Yes, I do a large defoliation just before flip to flower. Then take a leaf or two every day or so as i find one masking light from bud sites. I sometimes then need to do another large defoliation half way through flower. I do a SCROG with a 3 foot deep canopy so light penetration is important for my setup.
I did a big defoliation yesterday all ready for them to flower.
