Greenhighlander grows

Acer rubrum?

It’s a native here. One of the first trees to show some action in the Spring, and one of the first to show color in the Fall, and then lose it’s leaves.

I’ll look little more closely at the stumps

Acer rubrum is indeed the same red maple as here. It is also native to here and one of our early succession low dollar value trees.

Yeah, they are pretty much treated as trash trees here… but, the wood is really pretty, and it’s not too bad in the BTU department.

I have one I’m going to slab up soon.

I burn nothing but so called trash trees for heat. Red maple , paper birch , spruce , and even some fir. I don’t wanna cut any of my high value long lived species for firewood.
This is my milling set up

SUM #1 smoke report time

Smell : Reminds me of the cured PU F3 smell of caramel or something , with blackberry mixed in.

Taste : The thickest , most delicious blackberry flavor ever and very smooth.

Effect : Incredible !!! Hits right away and hits like a bat to the head .Very intense brain scrambler with a very strong rush of a warm blanket feeling at the same time. This one is almost overwhelming at first but within 10-20 min turns into a really great feeling , holy fuck am I ever high. I really can’t get over the potency of this one. Seems to have great pain killing and is also great for focusing on a task to the point you get completely lost in it lol Over indulging can lead to some very deep and insightful thinking .

Jar Appeal : I am gonna give it a 9/10 on this. I really like the dark almost mysterious look of a jar full of its buds .

I think it will look even better when not taken early.

I love this one and will be taken a ton of cuts once it revegs. This would be a special plant either for its taste or its potency.

Awesome details on the high of that Spilled Unicorn Milk #1 :grinning: looks like she packs a punch :facepunch: a real triple threat with the looks, effect, and taste. Great smoke report :ok_hand:

Dang, that sounds amazing. Happy accident! I actually don’t mind hairy looking weed, and you’re right, letting it fully finish next time might change the looks a bit.

I love white knuckle rush effects at first that settle into calmer but stoned-to-the-bone introspective headie effects that last for hours. I wonder what the tolerance impacts will be for that one?

Also, I have to say, the super potent plants are usually the ones that give me the best pain killing effects. Not always, but usually there’s something in the overwhelming potency that also makes me kinda forget my body’s creaks and groans.

I think you found a winner! Fingers crossed for a healthy reveg. Also, it gives people a hint as to what might be a winning cross…

We don’t burn a lot of wood, but I’m too old to be spending time on stuff that burns up fast and doesn’t put out much heat. Bad ROI, lol!

All our firewood comes from stuff that’s naturally down, and not worth slabbing.

That rig you have is very interesting, did you build it I’m not sure I even get how it works. Ours is a couple of 2x4’s, a ladder, and an Alaskan Mill!

Some poplar.

But, back to the program, that SUM looks scrumptious :yum:

Does it relieve a specific pain, or just make you forget about all of them?

It is called the Jobber j100 and it is a huge back saver compared to those alaskan style. Not made for slabbing . It is made for making beams or dimensional lumber. It breaks down into 4 parts and is very portable. I can mill any tree where I drop it.

That popular looks amazing, especially for usually boring ass popular lol

As for the pain thing when I refer to pain fighting properties I mean some pretty severe central nervous system stuff as well as 2 very messed up parts of my spine.

This sounds exactly like the Purple NL2 I grew last year. Very caramel-y. The flowers look super-similar, as well. Interesting… I guess it’s a PU thing.

I am taking it you mean get trimming lol I don’t wet trim this time of year. In fact I even gave this plant a good watering before chopping in the hopes of slowing down the drying process .

I give the genetics all the cred on how the gals look . I just try not to kill them lol

I was talking about the chainsaw. I figured you were cutting wood. Looks like you where making lumber. Your grow looks good.

Day 57 from flip for WP F2 #1 . She still has the soapy smell but has now developed a strong sour smell as well. Still has a few more days

SUMs are on day 41 from flip

#2 has the most color still

#3 shows barely any color in its top buds

But lots of color still on its lowers

#4 is producing super dense buds much like all PU F3 leaners I have grown.
