Not greenpoint related but I’ve saved some plants with mild herm traits before. Like just a few balls on the lowers. It’s more work but can end up fine. They can be very tasty even.
When you only have 4 plants losing one is a big blow.
When this happens I abandon the line but try to save the plant for yield sakes. I’m thinking of 2 in particular I won’t grow again

I was one of the people who had a single plant herm early on, but it wasn’t an issue, once I plucked the sacs, they never came back, and finished with no seeds. Every person I’m aware of who had a plant herm had it happen with the same pheno (shorter bushier pheno that had no apical dominance) so it he can work that out of the line.
I agree I only run a small amount 1 plant is 1/5 of my grow

There was a hermie issue and sannies announced it on his sight and pulled the line at once
It was great weed loved it but a good breeder owns up to a problem and makes good

I don’t think anyone accepts herm traits on final releases but this contest was for testing an unreleased cross that is still being worked on.

I grew out the Purple MAC last year after I bought a bunch of packs and a month later received an email that they already sold all the packs I bought and paid for, and so I needed to pick something else.
No herms, but what I got didn’t look anything like Purple Punch nor MAC1.
Bud came out fine, but it was 100% pure burnt rubber, no other terps or anything. Plant stretched 4.5x.
I gave away the rest of the seeds as nothing was worth keeping imo.
As stated before… a lot of seeds they did actually release had the same issues… not a first sadly…
It’s all about like the post before this… when there is problem, do accept it and do right by it…

Never heard of “low light” causing herms before, but I guess there’s a first time for everything.
I agree. Having grown primarily Bodhi gear for the last six years (with some different breeders thrown in the last few grows), I’ve never had to deal with a herm. If I ever did, that plant and the remaining seeds would be tossed in the garbage. There’s way too many awesome breeders putting out quality stuff to waste time dealing with inferior plants. Like @HolyAngel said, the two GPS strains that I’ve grown tasted gawd-awful. Like hot, smoky ass. Burnt rubber would’ve been an improvement. So even though they didn’t herm on me, I wouldn’t run them again.
Btw, is it just me or did that thread at chuckerparadise lose like 110 pages overnight? It’s 56 pages this morning, could’ve sworn it was 166 pages last night. In fact, I know it was, just because when I first checked it out, I was like,”Jesus Christ, this thread’s 166 pages?”
