My stuff is almost dry. Getting ready to fill those bags.
OH and BTW. That Cherry AK 47 is the absolute BOMB! That stuff is so relaxing it’ll take the curl right out of your hair!
Thanks again for those cuttings @herojuana.tom ! I am really liking the Cherry AK 47. I got just under 3 1/4 oz from that one. The Pure Kush only netted me just over 2 and the ISS came in at just under 3 oz. It could have been so much better but I’m happy with the harvest considering the bumps in the road.
Thanks again.
I bought about a dozen or so couple years back and like them just didn’t transition to them all the way from jars. Used them for giving samples out. This grow I’m seeing a difference that’s noticeable. Straight out of Cannatrol into Grove bags and jars and each one has a hygrometer and the bags hold humidity while the jars are creeping up to 65%. Had to burp them but the Grove bags are solid around 60± I will be ordering more soon and need some more shelves from Cannatrol by end of next grow.
Awesome! Great to hear @MoBilly, the cherry ak is really pretty bud and works great too. Glad you like it
It took a few months to talk my friend into trying these bags. I don’t think you can beat the combination of consistent results with minimal effort. Everything has turned out pretty close to perfect so far.
Hey quick question. I have a few elbows of trim and larf buds. Some sugar leaf. Should I toss it in a grove and cure it once it’s dry. Would it make for better edibles/tincture/what ever tf I do with it? Sorry if that’s a noob question but I’m new af to these things
@Dirt_Wizard
@Pawsfodocaws
This would just be an uneducated guess but I would think it might very well make for a cleaner tasting edible. I know that I always leave some sugar leaves on my buds when they go in the bag. I believe that it cushions the buds a little. Then I use the leaf shake as a bed for my hash pipe. The taste is nice considering it’s just sugar leaves.
But I’ve never made edibles with it. Edibles have no effect on me.
I plan on brown dragon. And a very heavy cooking oil. When I take them I take 1000 or more MG to feel it. It kills the pain. That’s what I need. I’ll try it out and report back here
Please do. I’d be interested.
I’m not sure about the doses I’ve tried but I once ate 8 brownies and felt nothing. I gave the rest to a friend that needs the stuff as badly as I do. She couldn’t eat over half of one without getting unpleasantly wasted. We still provide her with medicine so this might be a way to stretch out the supply a bit.
Nice will comment back here on it.
Thank you.
I do, yeah! I used to put it in a Ziploc but I always forget to burp it so the last two grows I stuffed it into a LB bag and it’s in the weed and seed fridge cold curing with the buds, seems way less grassy and more terpy
Right on that’s the kind of answer I was looking for thanks man. Appreciate it. Will report how the trim turns out as well. Will be packing into a 5 gall clear terp loc grove bag. Testing these out.
Yeah, I’d definitely cure before the decarb and extraction. I’d have to agree with what @Dirt_Wizard is saying about the final flavor.
Right on man. Thanks.
Just received my 4th grove bag order in 2 years.
5- 1 lb bags with viewing window
6- 1/2 ounce glassless. These are classy for gifting 20 gram half ounces.
Please note this will be my only on topic-thread related post today.
This is the way for me too, sugar leaf + kif bowls and joints are one of my favorite things about growing my own
So I finally bit the bullet and got my first order of bags. Just curious if I’m supposed to pull the air out of the bags or leave the air inside?
You want the airspace inside, for at least the first month or two, I find. I do press most extra air out before heat sealing to make them take up less room but you can’t really evacuate them too much, they’ll breathe and pull in pressure if you try to.
@Kushking902
The rep I spoke with said to fill the bag to ~ 80% for best results. I give the bags a little shake every couple of days, as well, for the first two weeks so I know the buds don’t have constant contact with each other in one spot. If the humidity is right that shouldn’t be a problem but I like to play it safe because I put all the buds (big and small) in the bags together. I figure some of those larger/tighter buds may still sweat out a little moisture and I don’t want any chance of a spot of mold developing anywhere in the bag.
