Grove Bags.... Has anyone tried them on a cure?

I didn’t think that was your point. Any tip on utilizing these bags, or just drying and curing in general, is welcome here. It’s encouraged in fact.

Pulled a mac1 nug and a fritter nug. The fritter is smokeable and dank Smelling. All around perfect buds. The mac1 needs a longer cure, same with the fritter. Just saying it smoked fine,…the smells are amazing and a lot more notable after not really opening this bag and another few over the last 10 or so days…these things are doing work. My fritter is curing freaking amazing in that big bag. The mac1 nugs are doing well too just today the tester nug was harshish not to my liking. I prefer a smoother smoke. The terps that rolled of the fritter mouth were very vibrant and got me thinking I would liken it to some fruity earth funk. With a bit of sourness to its smoke on the exhale. For the Mac 1 it was straight adhesive diesely and gave my nose a tickle…exhale like I said was not the best.

I think the verdict is in. These bags are definitely worth using. IMO they trump jars by a long shot.

So this is how I would say the methods go besides those expensive machines…jars. turkey bags. Grove bags. This is how I would rate them. I hate jars tbh never used them exclusively. Always turkey bags. These Grove bags are the best thing since sliced :bread:

Yeah, I’m smoking almost full 30 day cure in a bag and it’s stayed completely stable. I couldn’t find my hygrometers so I dried them close to what I know and then into the bag. At first I burped one a little and the other a couple of times and then they all reached a perfect consistency. I’d like to buy bigger ones for sure. Plus, med. to small ones, too, lol. I really like them. The weed is perfect and the terps are, too.

Wait until you smell a 10-month cure in a big bag. My Indiana Bubblegum and Blueberry Muffin. 1 lb bags I rarely open them. I fit my whole head in the bag. So sweet.

I am so very glad that dang near everyone has had good results by using these bags. I was slightly worried about even bringing up the subject having never tried them myself before opening the thread.
It seems to have been a win for the community though. This makes me happy.

I just opened an OZ bag of Pistachio 2 nights ago. It’s been sitting in the Grove bag for 9 months. The RH level is within 2% of of the starting RH. Wife came out of the bedroom and said WTF!!! It took a couple minutes, but stunk up the whole house. It was my 1st harvest using the Bags, and I’m sold. Thanks to my wonderful wife for surprising me with a Cannatrol. Now with the Grove bags, it’s simplified the dry/cure process. 8-10 day run in the Trol, bag it, throw in storage, come back later, amazing smoke. It’s way better than anything that was jarred. I’ll never go back to jars. Less weight, store easier, and haven’t burped a bag yet. I’m getting too old to be checking on the dry room 10 times a day, then burping countless jars.
They free up my time to get other things done, and I’ve reused the OZ bags without issue, still does it’s job, so I’m done with jars!!!

@Kgrim
How is that Pistachio? I’ve just recently heard about it and I’m curious if it makes good night medicine.

@MoBilly Absolutely Phenomenal!!! We love it!!!

2 years in a row, earliest to bud, this was taken 5-6 days ago, I believe. Superb yielder, by far was the best of 11 plants last year. Frosty dense buds, great nighttime smoke, has a nice gassy taste at 1st that turns into a rich, nutty taste that reminds me of late ‘70’s early ‘80’s Columbian.
It’s very PM and Mold resistant, and by far the most requested clone.
I can’t recommend it enough, and Chitown seeds has them on sale for $80 a fem pack I believe.
I only got 3 as a freebie, handed out more than 50 clones the last 2 years, still have 1 seed left, time for a couple more packs for the vault!!!

I can vouch for Grove on Maintaining the desired RH% @HolyAngel.
Not sure what went Ary(sp) with Motaco but any time I’ve needed it or was fooling around Testing stuff, its done the job, simple.

And in Glass (which I love @Motaco), you need Things to help maintain RH in glass.

I have had the squeeze closure fail on a bag that was used often. Def negative about them.

We just recently bought 25, 1 oz bags just to try them. I took a jar of Mimosa X Orange Punch and filled the grove bag. I just remembered I had it back in the cupboard (after seeing this thread) and the wife and I both agreed we can smell the Mimosa from the top of the bag with it sealed. I just don’t understand how that ziploc is any better than a regular ziploc. You can’t smell it from the sides or the bottom like you would any other baggie, but we can definitely smell her from the top where the zip is.

That’s strange. I have at least ten different strains in my locker (gun cabinet) and neither my wife, myself or anyone else have ever smelt an odor except when I got that one bag that was damaged at the factory. They replaced it in less than a week.
