Fantastic grow @Berserker7205!

Iā€™m wondering if youā€™d care to share any tips on your pollination or pollen collection methods?

You must have seen it all, given the scale of your grows.

Cheers,

Thanks!
For these auto reversals, I like to start my reversal candidates two weeks before the intended receivers. The reversals take a little extra time to go through their change. I spray the reversal selections once with eliteXelite from HybriTech, around day 21-28. Itā€™s best to spray before it starts to flower and pop pistils. The more the plant is in flower, the longer it takes to reverse. After about two weeks from being sprayed is when I start to see male parts forming on the bud sites. Itā€™ll be another few weeks before the reversals really begin to throw pollen clouds. I keep my reversals separate from the females, until the females have decent bud sites. I like to call it the Guy Fieri stage. Once thereā€™s nice clusters of pistils is when I prefer to introduce the pollen receivers with the donors. I feel I get a lot more seeds if I wait for more pistils to form. The buds still swell up, and give you a good idea of how that female wouldā€™ve turned out had she not been seeded. Iā€™ll let the plants live for as long as I can, to help ensure as many mature & viable seeds as possible. Just be sure to keep the humidity in check, because seeds can begin to germinate while still in the plant! After the grow is done and plants are ready to harvest, Iā€™ll chop and hang until everything is super dry. Then I buck the plants and put them into separate baggies, where Iā€™ll hand grind everything into a powder. I use a window screen to sift through the females and collect seeds. Keeping the screen at an angle, I put the material on it, and shake/vibrate the screen (like a sluice machine), to let plant material fall through the screen or stay on top, while seeds roll down and into a bin. I take the bagged up reversals, and Iā€™ll put them into my trim bin, and give them a good sifting. Then I take the plant material to the screen to collect the S1 seeds. Iā€™ll collect the material that fell through the trim bin, and put it through my Ryot pollen box which has a smaller micron screen. This will sift out all unwanted plant material, and gives a good clean pile of pollen. Iā€™ll use a desiccant pack in the Ryot box to help remove any & all moisture. I then put the pollen into centrifuge tubes, sealed in a bag, and into the freezer for storage. :+1:t3:

Thanks! Itā€™s much appreciated!

Iā€™m waiting until I get things going for the next adventure, before starting a new thread. Had germination issues with some auto regs. Gonna find something to replace those and add to the next lineup. Itā€™s shaping up to be another fun one!!

Hey Buddyā€¦ So very cool to see you get the following you deserveā€¦ your probably the most honest breeder I know and everything youā€™ve sent me as my Auto Seed Sponsor just kills it. Running the Marathon OG F2 you reproduced and it grows very much like SFV OG with her lankinessā€¦ and frosty as heck.

Here she is at Day 40.
Pheno 1ā€¦ little more traditional growth pattern and a good breeder probably

Pheno 2ā€¦ this is the lanky one that I know will stack it on later in lifeā€¦

2 Things, 1.you sir are an auto growing god. 2. looking through your project i canā€™t help but ask. How can i get ahold of some of those genetics. That marathon OG looks like heaven

Iā€™m honored you think so, but itā€™s usually the genetics making me look goodā€¦ hehe. Right now Iā€™m working on the biggest damn auto Iā€™ve ever made, she got to 11ft in the Humboldt Mtns but never got harvestedā€¦ long story. but at day 36 she is still producing preflower sites and growing, itā€™s crazyā€¦

Oh, I just checked his site and he sold out of everythingā€¦ best prices in town not a wonderā€¦ says heā€™ll be operational again Dec 9th okā€¦ tell him I sent you tooā€¦ and anything heā€™s worked is worth a grow, Iā€™ve grown at least 4 strains of hisā€¦

Time for one of my little secretsā€¦ flip her to 12/12 for a week see if I can induce flowering a bit fasterā€¦
