I think it’s Ethos that labels some as R1 & RBX, to show it was a reversed backcross.
I especially like the idea of using R, because there’s some varieties that are already at F3-5. Then people label it as the next filial generation, when it reality it’s an R1 or R2 of an Fgen. To most people it wouldn’t matter, but for us genetic nerds it’s nice to know exactly how things were made.
For instance, the True Mac Auto from RocBud is called an F4. It was work as regular seed to F3, then he reversed the F3 Gen onto itself to make “F4”. Now I’ve gone and reversed an “F4” onto another “F4” to make F5. A different approach to notate it could be F3R1 instead of F4, and F3R2 for my F5 version. Maybe that’s a bit too complicated and unnecessary for most.
that is where i seen it ethos i think you are right they should be labled like that so you know what your getting is there any consequences back cross more than a few times
It depends on the selections used for the backcross, but BXing is the best way to stabilize a clone in regular seed form. The only downside will be that it becomes more & more inbred as the line continues. You’ll end up with more uniform & consistent plants from each generation, but you’ll start to lose vigor & size as the line becomes more inbred.

i see thanks for the info im here to learn as much as i can you got some nice color come out in these
Chopped on day 77.
There’s a few from the late start batch that need a little more time. Maybe another week for them. I’ll put them in a tent to finish up.
Thanks for the show @Berserker7205, that was fun.
Every end is a new beginning. Chopping means popping! The next round is started and looking to be my biggest cycle yet! Keep an eye out for my next thread. I’m gonna try to turn it up a notch, this time!
if you dont mind sharing?? what kind of lights are those and what do you think the averge cost is to run that room a month
They’re each 1000w LED bar lights, using a Meanwell driver & Samsung 301B diodes, from Meijiu Lighting on Alibaba. Probably costs me ~$250-300/month just to run those 3 lights.
wow didnt think it would be that much does the room pay for itself if not this would be an expensive hobby
It all balances out.
good deal i will be watching for the next thread i like the way you do things
Settle down mate you are getting a little out of control here with these autos, your autos look better than most photo period plants. Way to squash the auto myth Berserker, I’ve never ran any but this thread is going to change that without a doubt. Well played bro
Thanks! I’ve been working hard to provide the best quality medicine that I can! Due to the overwhelming demand for the seeds I’m making, I’ll be taking things to the next level. Big things coming, soon!
thank you for all the hard work you do i can tell you love your job cant wait for the shop to open
