Grow pots size in grow tents

So currently I have 3 plants (started as 4). In 5 Gal pots in a 5x5 tent and I am just about to complete my first grow but I feel like I could utilize more space in my tent. For a little background I didn’t transplant this time I wanted to just plant the seed and go, which I know isn’t the best. So Just a wonder of mine if I transplant from like Solo cups > 1 Gal > 3 Gal > 5 Gal or from 1 Gal > 5 Gal?

Hope this makes sense just want to be able to utilize all my space to have bigger and more beautiful plants!!

I felt like that once and now in a 4x4 area I grow 16 plants in 3 gallon pots. I slowly increased the density of plants over time. My plan is to put two plants per pot next cycle and see how 32 plants in 16 pots will do. My guess is that until it reaches maximum density the yield will keep improving.

I specifically buy the Spider Farmer 2.5 x 4.5 x 6.5 tent because I can fit 6 5g pots in them.

I scrogged 4 plants in 5-gallon fabric pots in my 4x4 last grow. I went fron solo cups into the 5-gallon fabric pots. It worked very well and I’m going to do it again my next grow.

I have 5 plants in a 4x4 and it feels a little crowded to me. I flipped them at 43 days from germination which is about a 2 week veg (depending on who you ask). I guess it would depend on the plants and the pots and how big you let them get before you flip.

Multi plants in a single pot never works. One plant will always be dominant. There roots will intertwine and then both fail. If it worked many would be doing it and pics would be all over the place. The exception is raised bed style setups in say a 2 x 4 the size of the floor space with three plants, maybe four small indicas. I’ve moved to bigger pots/bags over the years. Currently have a 15 gal Rain Science mesh pot in the 3 x 3 with one photo. And two 10 gal ACI felt bags with supposedly going to be large autos. I’ve come to hate a lot of small pots in a grow space and no room to work the grow with stupid amounts of watering and feeding and small plants not worth messing with. I avoid transplanting and up potting at all cost now days. If I for some insane reason think I need to do something strange like a development test grow. I will put holes in the bottom of a clear solo cup and bury it in the perment pot the plant will transfer into so I can monitor root development for a couple of weeks. Otherwise germinate in the home pot and grow.

Ive had the best runs going from 3" starter pots, to #1 containers that are just under a gallon, then to 3 gallon fabric pots a week or so before flip. Tried 2, 5, and even 7 gallon pots but for my soil/style/routine I like 3gal. Max for me is 9 plants in a 4x4 but more comfortable with 4-5 since I tend to top 2 or 3 times. Plants can get a little wide when i spread em out. More is definitely doable if grown straight up or less topping IMO.

It’s better not to mix different plants in the same pots, clones are a different story
I have almost 60 plants in 0.45L cups in a 1x1M tent.
Plant count dictates yield, that’s a golden rule in indoor growing, when the equation of time and space are taken into consideration ofcourse…
If you can veg endlessly that’s a different story aswell and you can get same yield from 1 plant that has been vegged for a longer time.

I’m with psyshack on the transplants, fewer is always better. It’s always a vector to stunt, stall, or stress a plant in some way. Plus, it’s more work, which I’m staunchly against on an existential level. DopeKiller nailed it, if you need to fill in your space more, more veg time or more plants are what you need, not more transplants.
