Found 4 male and 6 female Sour Banana, all showing. 5 Lavender Frosting not showing yet. Kept a Sour D leaning male and a Banana Kush leaning male. Sour D leaner has ridiculous sour funk, like the AJ Sour D. The BK leaner is all sweet banana. Probably gonna chuck the banana leaner.
Those are brilliant. Thanks.
Welcome, @BigMike55.
Just finished going through the Lavender Frosting. 3 males, all short and stocky, and two females. Kept 2 males, both have the same stanky pine nose, one having a little stretch. There is a burn on the leaves from turning up the LED from 1 to 3.
I love me some fat leaves!!!
Have you looked into tropf Blumats? I’ve been reading about them a lot lately. They’re $60 for the patio set I’ve seen recommended. You can run nutes through them also.
Took some clones and trimmed back the Sour Bananas from four to two main tops. One of the “females” was a male, so just one female of five plants. Bastard just showed a day ago. I’ll toss her as soon as my keeper male gets acclimated to the led. Males were trimmed back yesterday. I only need to harvest a few pollen sacs from each male to yield several hundred seeds. In general, the Sour Bananas doesn’t have a lot of stretch. They’re all stanky stem rubs. But the Lavender Frosting stem rub is on a new level. 100% breeding F2’s and maybe crossing to the Sour Bananas.
Also started some garden herbs, tomatoes, and beans.
@MG_Canna What’s the Genetics of the Sour Banana ?
All your plants 🪴 look great
Thanks.
Sour Diesel x Banana Kush, Crockett Farms.
Should be room for 6/8 plants
Ha! I wish. I’m planting raspberries, strawberries, herbs, beans, and tomatoes. Blueberries are in the far left corner.
Having a hard time with these small cloth pots. They dry out daily, so it’s more difficult for me to know a good feeding schedule. Live and learn, hah! Can’t tell if I like Crockett’s Sour Bananas, or if I fucked up the nutrients that bad. I did keep the 3 nicest phenos, two will be grown outdoor at a friends. I’ll grow the best with a pack of 5 cheese fem’d seeds. If I have longer than 5 weeks, I’m transplanting budding plants into larger pots.
Some bud shots with beans. Sour Bananas x Lavender Frosting and Lavender Frosting F2’s. Lavender Frosting is the large plant with small nugs. Smells benign. Maybe a little sweet. Sour Bananas are getting stinky, but not in a good way. But plenty of time for things to progress.
I started 6 feminized Cheese and 5 AVOG(Valley Vixen x Aspen OG). Cheese went into Roots 505 yesterday and Aspen Valley OG later today. Very excited about this cross. Some phenos of Valley Vixen are almost identical to the SFV OG, which to me, is some of the best tasting, high potency weed and a turning point in the evolution of seed breeding.
That sounds like it will be a really good cross.
What do the sour Bannana smell like?
like the work you do !
Sour but not a Sour Diesel sour, and banana.
3 Sour Bananas. Definitely needed to load these plants with food during veg cycle. Very little stretch and buds like a Christmas tree. Smells are ok. Nothing worth keeping. I’ll toss the seed.
This plant is surprising in so many ways. The aroma seems to be evolving every few days. The Lavender Frosting is only a week passed transplant and has turned up a notch from mellow vanilla citrus to sour pine with a sweet bubblegum finish. No stakes necessary. Topped once. Grown like shit, but we’ll worth a return to the F2’s and looking around. THC% 18-22%. Smoke report soon. Traded these here, for some VVf2. We both hooked up.
!
New seedlings. 5 fem’d Cheese(growing for a friend), and 3 of 5 Valley Vixen x Aspen OG, so far. Cheese is a week ahead. I don’t know about the Cheese. It’s from a seed breeder out of Michigan. Aspen Valley OG will be next level Kush. Both cultivars are SFV OG Kush crosses. Ive grown two phenos of Aspen OG. The gifted seeds to my friend were given to me to grow. The first is a clone that still goes around Colorado Springs and the Denver/Boulder area, some 15 years now. Smells like the nastiest mothballs but tastes like sweet funky skunk. I remember loving the taste, but though it was too strong. The 2nd and 3rd were popped early in this thread. 3 didn’t make it. Number 2 was a beast…thick multiple branches, huge slightly airy buds smelled like a nice pine flavored skunk. She made sweet music with my male Valley Vixen. Hopefully I can grow these properly. This grow has been a pita!
And the Sour Banana clones were moved to larger pots. I’ll let them take root for a week before giving to a friend. They should be awesome outdoor plants.
The only Sour Banana stretch phenotype. Rock hard nugs, no frost, and smells like sweet banana with something zesty in the back.
I see so much potential in these Lavender Frostings. Thank you OG member, for the trade. I pollenated from two males, One super short with very fat leaves and a strong skunky odor, the other being more stretchy and in structure, like the female, with a pine citrusy smell.
