Growin' and Chuckin'

Yeah, double serations. I had it in both of my Bodhi Mother’s Milk f2s made by @OleReynard that I just harvested. I’ve had a few others that show that. I always liked that trait just cause it looks cool.

How is the Mother’s Milk?

It’s pretty nice smoke. I wish I had taken them a week or two earlier but they are fine. It has a nice terpene profile. Real dank from the closet but also has a sort of feminine side, too. Easy grower, but had a touch of PM.

Looks beautiful. I’ve been trying to avoid plants with large buds, or at least top multiple times. It helps with bud rot, but pm is a monster. A friend out east has to burn sulfur for prevention, after getting infected 2 years ago. It still shows up on leaves, by end of flower. Is that outdoor or indoor?

Both, lol… They started indoor but I took them outside every day and back in for lights out. It was so hot, that they got cooked a little on tops. I think the PM came from that little closet. Once it warmed up it was trying to take hold but never went crazy. I just add Green Cure to a bucket and do a bud wash with lemon juice in the rinse water. They were dirty from the wind, anyway, and I can get the little pm that was on them off easily at the same time. That water was sure dirty.

Washing buds makes a huge difference with outdoor. Once you see that water, you won’t go without!

I had a guy at the grow store tonight tell me it made his buds smell less and have less flavor. Of course, he can dry and cure with the best of us he said.

Yup, I’ve heard a bunch around here say that buddy changing the subject:joy:

It really makes a huge difference in smoothness getting all the dust and junk off.

Oh hell yeah if you ever see the water after the 1 st rinse you’d be convinced for sure

I truly feel your right it makes a big difference

I know I’m not smoking bird shit, bug shit, and there is always a nasty oily residue on top. Yuck.

Even if that only makes a mental difference, that’s good enough for me!

Right? Even just the water knocks so much off.

What do you use to rinse with ?
Hydrogen peroxide, a splash of that in the water helps

I’ve only ever done a water rinse, lemon juice and baking soda, with a final rinse. The lemon juice and baking soda is apparently the same thing they use for a produce wash.

I haven’t had any mold issues yet, so I figured peroxide would be a moot part of the process.

Yeah, baking soda or HP will remove PM. I used Green Cure (fancy Baking Soda) in the first bucket to remove minor PM spots as well as dirt and bugs.

Then I used clean water with concentrated Lemon Juice for the rinse and all is good. The final bud lost no trichs and tastes great.

The yuck bucket (only two plants, both grown in 3 gal felt pots, outside for days mostly, but indoor for 12/12 every day)

Getting close to 3 weeks. This is the more manageable, stretch pheno of KC Valley OG. Usually it’s the other way around. Stretch phenos are a pain in the ass to manage and require lots of topping staking or SCROG. The other two phenotypes are so stuck it in the internodes are so close that topping even once would make a mess. This pheno is stacking nicely for the early stages, but not as frosty as the “Cheese”, which honestly smells more like an OG cross. Last picture is “Cheese”.

Day 21. Getting excited. We should see some explosive growth the next couple weeks.

My two favorite plants. KCVOG is my baby, but this Cheese plant is gorgeous too. KCV is so complex, compared to the Cheese, but it’s early. I still have high hopes for the Cheese. I remember thinking the same with the Sour Bananas last grow. But by the time they matured, dankness filled the garden.

These are at day 35 flower

Time to switch to hazes for a minute. GTH #1 reg’s and Amnesia Haze x Headbanger popping next round. The last pack is an unexpected freebie. Anyone interested?

Day 28. Top dressed today with Age Old Dry Fruit bloom booster, 1 Tbsp per 7gal pot. Also top dressed another monster Tbsp of extreme mykos. Still feeding 3/4 strength with Biothrive Bloom. Almost finished pruning fan leaves. And pretty stoked I made 20 or 30 F2’s. These Cheese fem’d may be mislabeled, but they’re a growers dream. Most likely regular Cheese, cause shit is getting funky fromunda! Bud shot is seeded.

I’ll take the freebie if it’s up for grabs. Cant go wrong with Christmas bud.

With my Aspen OG x Valley Vixen, I’ve noticed growth patterns and aromas that are like the Skywalker OG. Totally bummed. Mislabeled seeds. I think Riserva Privada’s Skywalker OG is 50% garbage, with full on hermed out plants. They could have stabilized the cross better, like real breeders. End of that story. I guess the trade off is these Cheese plants wreak of sweet skunk at the moment and all 3 have keeper potential. When one door closes, another opens. Sour Chiesel reg’s and Black Cheese fem’d should be here this week. :fire:

This is the Cheese carrying f2s. I’ll have one or two packs to hand out , if all goes well.
