Growin' and Chuckin'

Looks like brown sugar, very nice job on the hash!

Thanks. It’s all about the washing machine and fresh frozen, I believe. Really keeps the green material from mixing with the hash. It didn’t have much smell until it started curing. Now it wreaks through the jar.

When I slow dry my buds after hang drying for 4 days, it takes about a week in bags before cleaning and curing. The buds become extremely fragrant, compared to other methods of drying I’ve tried. Up and coming cultivars are 4 Sleepy Joe f2, 5 Ghost Train Haze, and 4 Headbanger Haze. 3 NL/Afghan cuts are for a friend, and 1 clone of each NL/Afghan to be seeded with a male Sleepy Joe f2. The wonderful thing about sleepy Joe is that every phenotype is dank, so any beefy male will do. Seeds are NL/Afghans.

Another Monday. Front to back- my f2 selection of Sleepy Joe, Headbanger/Amnesia Haze, and Ghost Train Haze #1. Transplanted and moved under the LED a few days ago. Plants are happy. So far they’re thriving with just water in Roots Original soil. Every time I transplant, the plants usually have about 14 days before running out of nutrients… Which is usually when I transplant. It works out well.

And my keeper pheno of the NL/Afghan. In the 90’s, we call weed like this ‘Christmas bud’. It wreaks of lemons, pine, and Kush. True head stash. She’s already smoother on the throat after 2 weeks, than the sleepy joe is after 6 months curing. But the smoke is thick and blasts me into outer space for several hours, after one hit. I will give a smoke report on the other phenos when I try them. Not smoking much these days. Taking a break for several months but taste testing aloud. :joy:

Front to back…Headbanger/Amnesia Haze, Ghost Train Haze, Sleepy Joe, and two runts. 2 TBSP Extreme Mykos added during transplants. Headbanger Haze and Ghost Train Haze get flipped on Friday. I’ll need to move the Sleepy Joe out of the tent for a few weeks. Mostly crushing this round early on, but shits gonna get crazy not knowing flowering times. I’m expecting 12 weeks for the Headbanger Haze, 11 for GTH, and 9 for Sleepy Joe. I just put the GTH in veg till next Friday.

Flowering start: Saturday, 9-18-2021, Headbanger Haze(Headbanger x Amnesia Haze), estimated flowering times 11- 13 weeks
At this point, I’m really hoping to make F2’s. I have only a couple seeds left beside these four. I think sour haze is an avenue least explored in breeding, probably because both Sour D and Amnesia have long flowering times. But I feel like it’s worth a dive. I grew bagseed hazes in the 90’s that took 12 weeks with monster yields of sticky sweet citrusy fire.

Nice and uniform, good luck!

The laggers.

GTH#1 going in next Saturday. Peacemaker will stay in veg a few weeks longer.

First picture is flower tent, second picture is a gorgeous wide leaf Headbanger Haze. I can’t believe the structure of these. No stretch at all after 2 weeks flower. Third picture is three Sleepy Joe, which will go into the tent tomorrow. Happy weekend y’all!

Not the best outcome, but it izzz what it izzz. 2/4 Sleepy Joe are male, and 2 looking male but a little early to say. 1/4 Headbanger Haze is female. 3/5 GTH are female, 1 male which I tossed and 1 unknown looking male.

2 clones from last round are NL/Afghan.

Very nice garden right there.

It’s ok. Plants are small because I’m on a short time schedule, but I could easily fill this tent with one GTH with 5 weeks veg time. What I can’t believe is how short and slow growing the Headbanger Haze is.

So far I’ll breed HBHaze f2s, Sleepy Joe x NL/Afghan, and HBHaze x GTHaze #1. Hoping for Sleepy Joe f3s, and GTHaze #1 f2s

Final count is in.
4 female GTH, no male
1 female Headbanger Haze, 1 male
2 female Sleepy Joe, 1 male

Seeds available this round:
Headbanger Haze f2
HBH x Sleepy Joe f2
Sleepy Joe f3

After all these years and flavors tasted, beside a few of the elites, my favorite strain is a trade from @WeTokeChronic , Lavender Frosting. Flavor was intense sour pine skunk. That’s next several grows as I pheno hunt for a keeper. By I only had one female, but it yielded nice nugs with a average yield. I think topping and growing a little longer would produce mass.

@MG_Canna I appreciate that bro and glad you like it as much as I do! I have a free pack with your name all over it!! Or maybe a couple!

I’d recommend Lavender MAC (mac1 x lavender frosting) or The Game is Thick (waiting game x lavender frosting) that one is super vigorous, packs weight, has some trainwreck smells to it and that sour skunk! I’m in the process of crossing it back to my original mother and using an F1 male to pollinate a handful of other strains.

I just started a couple Lavender Frosting myself. They’re only a week or so old but are already looking very healthy. Hoping for some girls.
